Halflife 2 by far! That game just blew me away! Can't wait for the 3rd one now, it shouldn't be too far away...like 10 more years

I'm not really a big gamer or anything, in fact I don't know that much about them. Based on what I do know though and the games I have played I voted for Grand Theft Auto. It was definately my favourite out of all the ones that came to mind.

Haven't played it.
Half-Life 2
Great game, great graphics. It just got boring fast and the environments were too small..
Halo 2
Halo 2.. enough said. [In a bad way.]
Metroid Prime 2: Echos
Still haven't finished it. Even though I've put over 20 hours in it. Great game!
Doom 3
Not worth the title Game of 2004. But definately the best-looking one.
Rome: Total War
Not my type of game..
World of Warcraft rocks! I have seriously been spending 50% of my free time [free time includes sleeping] playing this game. Awesome. XD

depending on how far you are, there are several bosses in metroid prime 2 that are going to drive you nuts!
qudraxis was nowhere near as fun as i was lead to believe... easy, but not fun.

Halo 2 acourse!! The biggest opening sales 
125 million!! even beating spiderman 2 the movie! and with 2.4 million pre orders.. that gotta be the most highly anticipated game of all time..
The rest of the games are AMAZING too.. If i only had a good comp :p

Well, I don't care for the lot that I have played, but I haven't played MP2 and a few others. Out of those, I suppose GTA:SA because I can't think of another better game not on the list. Possibly WoW, though I've never played it, friends talk about it nonstop at school, so I'm guessing it's great.

I've voted other, even thought GTASA would win probly any professional award (take a look at a gaming mags that's all you'll see). But I don't have it so I will have to go to my other, MORTAL KOMBAT DECEPTION. The series is longer and more developed then most games that have came out.

It's difficult for me to pick a game of the year because I always forget when games are released. Anyway, out of the choices... Half-life 2 is definently the best.
