All right, here we go again.

Dumbledore

vs.

James

All right. I never believed that Remus was James, that Crookshanks was Lily, or that Sirius did not die when he went through the veil. But while I hold my head high above the sand in matters of grievous death, I refuse to accept Snape's Worst Memory. James was so much more than that swaggering bully we saw there, and that's that, as far as I'm concerned. I cast my vote in his favor with no qualms.

I voted for James.
Why?
Because he's a dead guy.
Because he was arrogant, swaggering... and ya know, that kinda suits me.

Dumbledore.

Dumbledore.

Mostly because I never really got to know James. Most of what I do know is from when he was younger, and memories. Memories always change, and each person has a different prospective from the same memory.

I don't know.

Dumbledore, because, I don't know who James is, and from these posts, it doesn't seem like I'd like him much.

I picked Dumbledore. Although I don't really think Snape's memory was perfectly accurate, after all our memorys only show one side of things and sometimes not the most flattering side. I don't know a lot about James, I mean I know some about it. Msostly I just really like Dumbledore as a character, he has so many different sides and he just amuses me.

I chose Dumbledore. While I'm a big fan of James, I just have more respect for Dumbledore. He's an interesting character and Hogwarts without him is complete mayhem. Actually, he reminds me of my theater teacher a lot. I don't have one exact reason why, but I'm sure if you ever my theater teacher you'd think the same.

Erm... Harry's father?

I chose Dumbledore because James has kicked the bucket... No, that's not my reason....

Well, Dumbledore is cool. He is a headmaster. He had an army. He has a gargoyle in front of his office. He's smarter than Fudge. He... (you get the picture)

James is just James...troublemaker extraordinaire...who is Harry's father...*stares* Now, I can't make a decision

Thats a hard decision but I choose Dumbledore because he is old and wise and cool. But James is also cool, even though J.K. Rowling portrayed him as quite evil in one chapter.

Dumbledore, just because he exists and James is like dead.

Dumbledore, because he commands an instant awe and respect from all in his presence, and he really is a genius. He has the uncanny ability to say just the right thing to encourage someone, and he is always finding underhanded ways to show students the extent of their own bravery.


And because James is a bullying idiot, and I HATE bullies with a passion.

James, because he tried to protect his family, and he changed from a bully to a remarkable man.

That's a tough question, but I think I'll have to go with Dumbledore.

I like James, or at least, I think I do. As Anubis said, he changed from a bully to a remarkable man, and I like that, but...I really don't like bullying, so after his bullying of Snape I started to dislike him a bit.

And so: I like James, but I like Dumbledore more. Why? For all the same reasons every one else that posted before me likes him.
