I watched an older movie about the same events (from a couple years back), called Sometimes In April. I'd still love to see Hotel Rwana, but Sometimes In April made me absolutely sickened and very upset that those things actually happened, so I don't know if I'd get through Hotel Rwanda.

That's a very saddening attitude to take and I'd like to believe you're in a minority for your country.

I might be, but you never know. I have my beliefs, you have yours. I don't really care if I come across as having a saddening attitude, because I didn't say anything innapropriate or uncalled for.

My socials class was talking about this movie after a guest speaker came to our school to talk about the situation in Rwanda. From what I've heard, it's an amazing movie.

I may be another one who shuns swearing, but in this case, I think it's perfectly fine for it to be included in such a movie- it really "captures" the reality of the situation portrayed. After all, if it's not shown as something real, then what would people take from it? And besides, the theme and message is so much more important that just a few uttered suggestive words.

I hope for a chance to get to watch it, although I think I'd be covering my eyes quite a bit; I get very queasy (and quite easily too) at the sight of gore.

Indeed, Yoshi. If there was no swearing in it, people would get something different, and less accurate, from the film.

Swearing is bad, but, hmm, I'd say genocide is probably much worse. I don't think you can make a movie about the murder of millions of people without an expletitive somewhere in there.

CONDEMNING a movie that is doing a service by exposing a mass genocide to people who probably had no idea what was going on in that part of the world, just because it has some swearing in it? You're missing the point entirely my dear.

Hotel Rowanda was soo good! And extremely sad that they treated the people like that, and killed children! thats horrible! the acting was great! kuddos to Don Cheadle And it made me cry which like other people said above me which havent happen in a long time.

Okay, Kitten Medli was just saying that she doesn't like to watch movies with swearing in it. I think that's very respectable, and her choice. I don't know why everyone is up in arms about it- let her be.
