I watched Big Brother 5 UK and it was SO boring. The camera man or something was asking one of the house guests questions and I hated it. I love the American version much more.

But, this season of Big Brother 6 UK seems really interesting.

I think you were watching BBLB. We have 3 shows of BB in the UK.

Big Brother - BB - Hosted By Davina McColl - Main Show

Big Brothers Little Brother - BBLB - Hosted By Dermot O'Leary - Side show that gives information on the house and news from the house and other random tidbits. Also interviews the latest housemate to be evicted after Davina's had her way with them.

Big Brothers Big Mouth - BBBM - Hosted By Russel Grant - Side show that gives public opinion on the housemates and the goings on in the house.

What do the other countries have? And what are your BB Eyes like?

Well, in Australia, we have a few shows:

Big Brother - the main show

Eviction Sunday - Obviously where one or more housemates are evicted.

Friday Night Live - Where the BB housemates enter in a weekly comptition that gives the winner special powers in the house (eg. the ability to un-nominate someone who has been nominated for eviction and entry into the rewards room).

Ah, the rewards room. We had that in BB4. 'Twas crap. Maybe it's because the housemates in BB4 were as dull as dishwater.

We have an eviction show. It's on fridays and it's the one tha's hosted by Davina. Every other night it's footage from the house from the previous day with a voice-over by some Welsh guy. But those powers sound cool. An idea for our BB7?

Don't forget Up Late and Uncut.

I can't remember specifically what's on Up Late though.

Up Late is just a direct feed of what's happening in the house at that moment. SO it's either the housemates talking or sleeping. Most of the time.

and they also do other things that are not meant for underages who watch it anyways

Comment removed because people don't value other people's opinions.

In our Big Brother, we have one nomination day, one challenge day and what not and finally, one eviction day.

Excuse me?! Yes, you may not like the show but you have no right to comment on how 'exciting' or 'dormant' other peoples lives are if they enjoy the show. Come on, have some respect.

Again removed because people moan too much.

Not when you are implying that everyone who likes BB leads a boring life. I do respect other peoples opinions but not when they're insulting towards others.

Okay, you don't like BB, fair enough but don't belitte those who do. It's a question of respect and consideration. End of.

This one's removed too but in response to the message below.

Read the original post of this thread and you'll realise the point of why I posted.

Opinions are a lot different from generalisations, especially when there's no need for it in the first place, no need to go beyond the program and attack the fans. Freedom of speech is not the same as being able to be rude for the sake of it. Why even post on this thread if you don't like the program? What is the point? Just to state that people who watch it have no lives?

Freedom of speech it may be, polite it is certainly not and ppt has often prided itself on it's polite and respectful environment. No one will respect your opinion if you don't respect others in the first place. Like Twinkle said, respect and consideration - it's not a lot to ask for.

As for myself I've avoided BB quite successfully this year, not because it's bad but because once you start watching you've had it til the end! :D

Thank you Trick. I shall now be avoiding this topic like the plague as I don't appreciate having my life generalised to be boring because I like a television show. Neither do I like being called a moaner. You are very, very lucky I have managed to keep my temper under control, something I do not usually have a problem with.

MAXWELL HAS BEEN EVICTED!

O we praise thee, the British public!

(I voted actually)

Fri Jul 08, 2005 8:41 pm

Thank God for that, I was fed up of him moping!

Does anyone else think that Craig looks like a convict with his new hair do? (I know I said I was going to avoid this topic but I think I'll just stay to be obstinate.)

Fri Jul 08, 2005 9:32 pm

Craig has manboobs. A convict with manboobs. HAHAHA.

I personally had no problem totally ignoring Big Brother - it's really not my kinda programme at all. But I got a bizarre text message from someone a couple of weeks ago - this bloke we know called Eugene had just turned up in the house. I've been watching it ever since. Eugene is the most 'normal' person in there - he's got no game plan or back-stabbing tendencies, he's just being himself (which may or may not be a good thing. Seriously, the guy can talk the hind legs off a donkey)

Sat Jul 09, 2005 4:36 pm

You know Eugene?! Wow! I must say, I think Eugene is both sweet and rather odd. He seems really genuine and kind of naive.

Did you see his face when Makosi, Vanessa and Orlaith walked past him after stripping off their uniforms in the diary room?! I was laughing so much!
