Sunnie: Did they edit out the towers?
Yesh, the movie is supposedly coming out after the series is over. I wonder if it will have a plot

. There's three seasons left-going until 2008...and come on...some of them ARE stupid, but some make up for them. You can't expect them to be completely fresh after 16 years...I think around 2001-2002 it lost it's consistency, but there are always still funny ones. I miss Phil Hartman though

(random).
And like I said, I could never get into Family Guy. I watched most of the first season and never laughed once...its dumb humor. I'm probably not the only one who thinks that either, I mean it DID get cancelled. (It's back now though...shame)

ACK! Do I have to choose just one?!? Let me make a chart:
Simpsons: Differenty colored characters (yellow instead of white? Points for creativity), Hilarious randomness, wide range of characters (clowns, some guy in a bumblebee suit, ect. (those first ones came to mind)), and outrageous plotlines
Family Guy: EXTREMELY RANDOM, but hilarious... Umm... What else IS there?
I guess the Simpsons win. Both are funny shows though, just that The Simpsons goes all over the place. Family Guy just has tons of funny moments. The Simpsons gets tons more creativity.

This may seem weird and shallow in its own twisted way, but I like family guy better because the colors and clearer and there's more precision, while the Simpsons look a bit fuzzy... I don't watch them anyways.

Pfffffft.
You guys are joking right? I've watched two or three seasons of The Simpsons and I have to agree some of the episodes were hilarious. But I can't see how it compares to Family Guy at all in the humour department. But I do agree The Simpsons are classic.
Buuuut....there are way more inside jokes in FG.
Lois: Oh no!
Chris: Oh no!
Meg: Oh no!
Brian: Oh no!

Family guy is like M.E.G.A.S xlr.
almost everyone one of the jokes is an inside thing, petty "outsiders" just wont get it.
i bet "DUCK IT" would mean nothing to nobody, few people get this kind of humour.
but then, thats the idea.

I think the simpsons is way funnier. family guy is just too random. like, way too random. the simpsons is pretty random, but family is just random jokes fused together to make a show. and there's no real character development in family guy. both shows are pretty hilarious though, and they both have a lot of inside jokes

the simspons was funny until about season eight.
which was what? eight? nine? years ago.
maybe i just got too old for the simpsons, but i dont know anyone who can even sit and watch it anymore.
unless the old episodes are on, thats about the only time i can bare to watch it.

I watched an episode of Family Guy and honestly couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. On the other hand, I watch about 11 episodes of the Simpsons a week, so clearly that's my pick. Sure, the recent seasons have gone downhill, but there are still some gems there. I love it when the local Fox channel shows the really old episodes on weekdays (they show 2 episodes a day)...So warm and fuzzy at the end. ^_^v

The Simpsons new episode when they went to Japan was hilarious. I laughed so hard that episode.

The Simpsons is great. Family Guy, however, is a half hour of non-stop dirty jokes.

That's probably one of my favorites. I loved that one! I liked when Homer walked through the doors instead of opening them and the cartoon that gave them seizures. (Like Pokemon)
3 more years. I like how they make fun of everyone, not just like...one political party or something for example.
