Mary Poppins may seem a little silly now that I've grown out of childhood, but it's still an enjoyable film.

When I grow up will I have to think Mary Poppins is silly? I've never wished I was Peter Pan more.

Definetely not the same thing as thinking of a certain game, say, the cell-shaded Windwaker, as a childish game (I don't). I get this same feeling (that of sillyness) re-watching Labyrinth, but not to the same extent.

Well.. I really don't watch very many musical movies.... but I must say
Rocky Horror Picture Show
is pretty awesome!

Oh yeah... and does Disney count?
Well.. if it does...
I always enjoy The Little Mermaid :P heh
I wanna smack the crap out of Ariel whenever I watch it but dernit! The tunes are just so catchy and sung so well.

Far, far, far too many to mention.

Basically for any film, if I've watched it and it isn't Tarka the Otter then I love it. I'd have to say the top ones are Mary Poppins, the Lion King, Bugsy Malone, Labyrinth, Quest for Camelot, Little Mermaid and Chitty Chity Bang Bang, Wizard of Oz, etc. etc. etc.

Not really a musical in the sense implied, since the characters do not sing, but there is no dialog, and the whole movie has music played by a band who originally had the characters featured on their music videos. The band is Daft Punk, and the movie is Interstella 5555. I thought it was awesome, and I recalled it about a minute before posting this.

They made a movie of Tarka the Otter? I read the book (my god, I can't believe anyone else even KNOWS what Tarka the Otter is, other then myself, must be a British thing that I don't know about.)..

Anywho. I love most musicals. Les Mis, Joseph, JCSS, Phantom... anything really that sings. Disney I love... I still love blaring disney music and singing along when I get the chance.

I love musical movies! I'm quite an avid Disney fan so I adore all their original animated films and Mary Poppins. I also like Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz, Grease, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, Rent, The Producers, Phantom of the Opera and Reefer Madness.

Of course, nothing beats seeing a musical on Broadway though!! Phantom is by far my favorite one to see live. <3

I learned some really obscure profane language in that movie. Wow. It was great, though. I especially love the "Blame Canada" song and that musical number Satan does where he dreams he's on the earth doing gay people stuff. Another musical I like: Aladdin.

That is one of my all-time favorite movies. A really famous composer, Steven Sondheim (Lyricist for West Side Story), I believe, said it was one of the greatest musicals of the 20th century.
