"Seems that Professor Xavier is adding three new team members this time out. Personally, I think I’m happiest to hear that BEAST will be joining the X-Men. I love that blue furry smurf, and it sounds like he’s going to serve the same role in these films that Morpheus did in THE MATRIX.
All of you Cajun fans can finally rest easy. GAMBIT will indeed be part of the film this time around, and expect them to cast a fairly big name in the role.
Now... what would a bit of superhero news be without some controversy? Ready for this one? ANGEL will be in the movie. But ANGEL... will be a girl."


I am happy that beast will be in it, no so pschyed that gambit is in it, but I'm flamin mad about angel being a girl! Tell me what ya think.

IGN is much more reliable AICN. As if that weren't enough, I'm much more inclined to believe the site that says he will be the gender that he is in the comics. It's just absurd for them to make him female. They could just use another female character if they really wanted one.

Can't wait for X3 to come out, loved the first two. Happy that Angel comes into the scene, great character!

Well if IGN are to be believed, its good to see the beast, angel, and gambit will be in there, and even better that angel will in fact be a guy. It annoys me that gambit won't be having a major role though.

After religiously watching the Xmen TV show, I remember asking a friend of mine from Quebec if everything he touched would explode.

Hooray for beast! I guess I'm just a sucker for the blue furry ones. Really though, I love gambit and angel too, though I also wish gambit would have a larger part because he is just so cool. So angel will be a man then? Good. There are plenty of female x-men and no reason at all for angel to become a woman (unless it was his own personal decision, but that's another forum) Ah well, it all still sounds exciting.

I wonder whether wassisname (the German guy with the metal plating) will make another apperance?

I also wish Gambit would have a bigger part, mainly because he's my favorite character. But hey, I guess I'll be happy with the fact that he's making an appearance.

In the comic doesn't rogue and colossus marry or something? I dunno where i heard it but i heard that colossus would have a slighty bigger part than in the last movie, but i might be wrong.

Not in any timeline I know about. Im the "Age of Apocalypse" alternate universe, Rogue marries Magneto. But Colossus has always been with Kitty (the girl that walks through walls...).

Of course, in the comics, Rogue was never with Iceman... so you never know what they're going to do.
