The Harry Potter thread in The Library has got me thinking about this, so I made a poll.

Which of the five books so far is your favourite?

Mine is Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. I think the end surprises are harder to figure out just by her very subtle hints than in other books. The final scene in the graveyard (through the entirety of it, from portkey-portkey) was so suspensful and scary and sad. While other scenes (such as the task with the merpeople) were so visual.

I'll have to agree with you on that. Number 4 is my favourite as well. I like the way the tasks were set out...I just like that kind of stuff in books, period. Number 1 is my second favourite because of it's traps and stuff. :)

I like Azkaban the best... it's just the most enjoyable one for me to read.

I like the Goblet of Fire the most, a good solid book with new ideas and intriguing plotlines.

I really like Azkaban. Sirius is my favorite character, and I just generally like the book. I can't really say why I like it above the others. :P

Azkaban.
I just like... Sirius.
Number four makes me mad because theres not enough Sirius.
And then Numbre five made me cry. A lot.
It was like two in the morning when I hit that part... and BAM just... "OMG" tears... my books pages are wrinkled. I had to stop reading and go to sleep because I couldn't handle it.
Darn book.

Oh...it's so hard to decide. I'll just say all of them, but I think Chamber of Secrets was a bit more lacking than the rest.

Goblet of Fire. I think it was better-written than the others. JKR put in various subtle clues and surprised everyone at times. GoF made me cry, laugh, and glare (at some invisible character sitting on the book, I suppose. It must have looked like that to anyone who glanced at me while I was reading). None of the other books did that to me. Sure, I got slightly teary-eyed when He Who Died died, even if I didn't like him, but I wasn't full-out crying.

can't find the sig from this set, so instead, you get a <3 .

I'd have to go with Order of the Phoenix. I think it has the most mature writing style, and I like the political aspects of it, as well as some of the new characters. Prisoner of Azkaban would be my second choice - I didn't really care for Chamber of Secrets, either.

Definetly Prisoner of Azkaban for me, though Goblet of Fire is a pretty close second, and Order of the Phoenix and Philosopher's Stone a tie for third. (Hey, I'm in England now, about time I drop at least one Americanism, don't ya think?) Chamber of Secrets is definetly last, I just didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the others.

Prisoner of azkaban is my favourite.
I like that you think Sirius is the bad guy but then at the end he is the good guy.
