I took a gander (Smitty from RadioU liked it ) and said the Seattle Seahawks on Friday.

No way the Seahawks have it. I've been picking the Steelers since the preseason. Both teams want it, but I think that the teams are closely matched, and whoever wants it more will win. GO STEELERS!

I called the game back in Week 4. 'Whoever wins the AFC will win the Super Bowl.' I stand by that statement to this day. Steelers will totally win. They had to fight to get to the Super Bowl. Seahawks are the best team in a bad conference. Steelers fought through so many better teams.

Go Steelers!

Well, there's less than 5 minutes into the game, and the Steelers are going to win it. I'm furious, because I think the head ref is partial to Steelers. For example, the first touchdown Pittsburgh made shouldn't have counted, but it did. The first touchdown Seattle attempted to make should have counted, but it didn't.

=(

Yeah. I know. The ref was biased. Im really mad, and for all those Pittsburgh fans, please DON'T rub it cause im really mad right now. So yeah.. :(

Eh? The game's over?
I really HAVE been to busy campaigning. o_o

The refs are always basied against your team. If they had called all those calls the other way, pittsburg would be mad right now.

First Pittsburg touchdown: Too close to call. 3rd down. Even if its stuck at the .0000001 cm line, Big Ben can just move the ball forward and inch and score with ease.

First Seattle "touchdown": A push off is a pushoff, read the rule books.

Second Seattle "touchdown": If that wasn't holding, it was a fase-mask.

Low block on the run-back: That trick play would have worked if they were ten yards, twenty yards, or half a mile furthur back.

Now, add to that the missed block in the back on Big Ben during the Seattle INT, which gave them an extra 20-30 yards, and you really have no reason to call out the refs on a game like this.

Were there any other "bad calls" which I missed?

*glares above* :x

Game would have been a lot different if the refs, ya know were actually watching the same game that we were watching.

On the news here (Seattle), they've shown Steelers fans saying they made bad calls against the Hawks. So it's not just us (Hawks fans) saying there were bad calls.

But hey, at least we finally got to the Super Bowl. With the team we have now we could get there again, and hopefully bring home the trophy. :)

Refs always make bad calls for each team. There isn't a true football fan that doesn't reconize that. But all of the game effecting calls were the right ones. <_<

If everyone is going to complain about 'bad calls' that 'ruined' the game, then why stop at yesterday? I really wanted to see a Colts/Giants Super Bowl. It is all the refs' fault that Eli and Payton didn't play well in the playoffs. Come to think of it, it is all the refs' fault that the once great 49ers are playing so poorly nowadays. We all know that is bull, but we want to blame someone else besides the team we like because it would make us seem disloyal. The Seahawks played as best they could. I seriously thought they had it at a few points in the game. If they train hard enough and play well enough, they can be back again. It is not like they kick the losing franchise out of the NFL and have all the players shot.

Erm... this might sound dumb, but... what is the superbowl? xDD

It is an American tradition. The two 'best' American Football teams play a championship game against each other. According to lore, it is called Super Bowl because one of the creators saw his son playing with a super ball. Some bigger sports nut can explain better, but this is just the bare bones.

PS: It is only a dumb question if you don't ask.

Actually, it was his daughter. And that creator was actually joking about it, and he was also the founder of the AFL (now the AFC).

Basically, the football teams in the two conferences (AFC and NFC) play, and the champions of both conferences play in the Super Bowl.

I'm not a sports nut, but I had to write a story on the Super Bowl for my school paper.

honestly, I hated both teams, but i hated the steelers more. There were a few calls that were questionable, but i think that the fact that the seahawks had butterfingers and couldn't catch the ball and the fact that they kept missing field goals were major factors leading to their inevitable loss. the steelers had several passes that were very low, but were still caught. I just think that the seahawks could've done better then they did.
