Well, this topic's going to seem very unnecessary to alot of you. I'm trying to remember the title to this book I read in high school last year. I can't find it anywhere--I've spent the past 5 hours scouring the internet for it. So, if anyone can help me, I will worship you for the next week, at least. This was the last place I thought to turn to and ask, so....here it goes.
Details and information I can remember pertaining to the book:
The main character is a guy, I do believe his name is Jared. The whole novel is dealing with his brother's death/suicide, and also possibly Jared's attempted suicide or at least his suicidal thoughts. His parents are on the verge of separation, they refuse to speak of what happened to his brother, and are trying to pretend like nothing is wrong. Jared is seeing a therapist/psychologist/"shrink" who is actually rather odd, if I remember correctly. Jared also has a major crush on a girl he goes to school with...all I remember is her last name is Pratt, and there are some *cough* comments made about her ah "form." The book does contain quite a fair amount of swearing, and it does seem to center around death and suicide and family relations.
Whew. Okay, so my memory sucks. Sorry. Anyways, if anyone can read that jumbled description and tell me the title and author, as I said, I will worship/adore you for the rest of the week. LOL Much help is appreciated, and thank you to anyone in advance.

Is it Ordinary People?
It sounds like it to me. I could be wrong though.
