Question about Broadband, can anyone help?

Sun Nov 21, 2004 10:27 am

I'm getting AOL Silver broadband and they told me that it can take 10-14 days to activate. I'm assuming this means I can't use it for 10-14 days but can I still use AOL 9.0 while I'm waiting on it activating or do I have to go without internet access? (sorry if this topic is in the wrong place but I'm sure it's not)

You should still be able to connect through dialup, though I have AOL I cant really remember... Would be best to call them.

Ok, dont phone aol, cos ntl does the tech support. Basically, what they mean is, it may take them 14 days to get up off their butts and add your mac address to the system. Normally takes about 3 days.

I'm sure they said that once they've sent everything out and it's connected up that BT have to enable it or something along those lines, can I still use dial-up while I'm waiting on them doing that though?
