I got the 4444/4444...

And yeah, don't blow NP on 100+ NP healers. Just go into your SDB and get your old healing potion 1s and 2s and 3s. Two tabs (one at inventory, one at the battledome) will do the trick.

Does anyone know if you actually have to *damage* him?

I feel sorry for anyone who went out and bought thick smoke bombs (That are probably extremely inflated by now) to hopefully get two shots at the mayor, just to find out that they did nothing..

I think it's basically impossible to damage him at this point...or possibly ever...

People have been saying on the neoboards that his health goes down by 1 every time someone loses to him and that he does >800 damage per turn no matter what

So every battle, regardless of damage inflicted/received, takes 1 HP from him?

If it's impossible to even damage this guy, they really should have set this up so losses to the Mayor would NOT count towards overall BD scores. This is going to lower people's win percentages so much it's ridiculous, except for those who choose to not send their pets to their deaths and are rewarded with less plot points/prizes in the end. :\

That probably didn't make any sense, but I'm too tired to care.

Of course, if one of your pets isn't a BD stats pet....

There's also the possibility that we need a special weapon like on Razul that I have been hearing so much about (I just returned to NP a week ago after a 2 year hiatus)

Where do you see all three challengers, and where are you seeing his HP going down. For me it just says
Character
(Click to challenge) Difficulty Played Won Lost Drawn Score
Mayor Thumburt 1000 -1 2 0 2 0 0

Wait... no.. now i see where it says, but where does it say how many are left? for me his health is always 1000.

No... i lied... he has 3000.

But still seems to be on the first stage.

First group battle I've ever bothered to participate in :) I'm just glad I knew losing helped anyways, or else I'd just say forget about it...lol He seems to be going down pretty quickly...

(By the way, since when does the mayor have magical powers? ;))
