How does IDB get their info of battledome stuff earily?

I guess they just have a lot of rich battledomers (which is what you'd need to most likely be to have the first of a weapon) that are loyal to IDB and that always want to contribute to the site

That is their primary focus and they do it very well.

PPT is much broader and focuses on Neopets as a whole instead of delving into a single aspect.
