Ok basically I thought this would be cool to have for the huge PPT community. Basically it uses Google Earth and you can place markers on there depending on where you are in the world, and this is cool so you can see who lives close to you, quite near etc.

So whaddya think?

We had something like this. A few members had a "Great PPT Roadtrip" plan. I think coming2atvnearu had the link last.

That would pwn...only I'd have to sneak out to go, if there ver was one. May parents hate the fact that I'm on here. x_x

Precisely why these types of things aren't too smart to hold! Without Parental permission (and a length release form..heh..heh) such things can prove dangerous.

*raises hand* I made the map coming2atvnearu linked. It was all weird though, and people kept disappearing or becoming aliens.

Personally, I don't think going in depth of your location is a good idea. On PPT, there are a lot of members- so you don't know who the creepy stalkers out of the bunch are. On the map we had, it didn't even show states or provinces or anything- you just put your relative location, so people only just had the jist of where you were.

Pretty much what she said. Even relative location can be iffy. PPT doesn't allow you to dispose so much personal information as it's a danger, and I think google earth is pretty precise (though I hear they are not as close up as they were before 9/11), I know I can see my house pretty clearly. It's never a good idea to post your exact location on the internet, who knows who is out there and what they would do with said information.
