Okay, so I don't come around here a lot but I've been wondering...
You seem to lock boards after ten pages have been used. Is it something with the coding in the site? I'm not absolutly positive but it looks like the other message board I go to in the basic layout and we have threads that go on for over two hundred pages. Is it just to find stuff that way? (In the other board I go to much more frequently it's precticaly illegal to start a new thread that already exsists, it's just weird seeing all these threads about one thing, just continuing on).

It's a preference we at PPT have decided to adopt.
There's no coding involved, a moderator will come along and see that if a thread has reached a 10th page, it will be split.
It keeps things more compact and keeps things from unnecessarily long.
It also helps to try and find something "from the past". It would be easier to find something in 10-page splits vs 20 or 30-page splits.
But the key point here is yes, it still stands that it is "illegal" to start a new thread that already exists. Only moderators are the ones who will split threads. Even if the pages start to spill over 10, just keep going on that thread, and a moderator will eventually come around to split it.

Okay, many thanks. I just didn't want to get eaten and spit back out if I acidentaly slipped onto an eleventh page.
