a lot of peeople on neopets say not to come to pinkpt becuz it has stuff that tracks u & some peeople say that pinkpt hacks into peoples accounts is this true? i do get a lot of popups on teh front page but i doubt pinkpt staff would do such a thing

yeah supposedly there are cookie trackers and spy ware and such but i can't confirm any truth or falacy (is that the right word) so yeah i dunno

To get rid of the popups, you can install a popup blocker. Google has a free toolbar with a popup blocker that works great! Just make sure that you set it to allow popups on Neopets (or else some of the games won't work?)

And, re the bad stuff that people have said re PPT--rumors, pure rumors. If there was any bad stuff here, I wouldn't be here and I have been a member of PPT since last summer.

Yeah, PPT is almost 100% clean of anything that would try and steal your account and such. The almost is if one of the members at this board would try to scam you a la NeoBoard style, but the mods here are very good, and all ploys like this are caught quite quickly.

I've been here for more than a year and, excluding General Chat (I don't go there... ) every place on here has been perfectly clean (except for one incident, but that was stopped almost instantly).

Some people don't play Neopets anymore, but stay here for the members and the chatting. It's a great community here, a good break from the Neoboards.

But anyways, yes, the site's pretty much clean now. However, if you should ever come across something like that and it worries you, you should try contacting Yukio like in this instance.

I refuse, I have gone there two times though, once for a Faerie quest (which incidentally, that's not the right place to post something like that), and once because I was so bored and wanted to post a lot to get to God.

I only drop into Gen. Chat. if the rest of the boards are absolutely dead, or there's a specific thing I want to find out about, such as a new av.

Generally, I avoid the whole section. I still play Neo occasionally, but not nearly as often as I used to.
