Well, after mandatory sewing lessons at school, I can't say I'm too bad at it, but I'm really slow with a machine cause I cheat and don't use the pedal on corners. :P

Made a beanbag toy (platypus thing), a pillow, and some other random stuff.

she probably either cut it out wrong, or sewed one leg inside out and one the right way.

i prefer sewing machine sewing, as i'm impatient to get stuff finished, and it's quicker on a machine. i've made a quilt with my gran. and it's all finished except for the hand quilting, which i havent done as it's by hand and takes AGES

But I didn't take a course for it in highschool, so now I have no idea how I'm supposed to learn to do it... Experience I suppose. Maybe I'll start making barbie clothes or something.

ther are special simple patterns that you can start with, most ranges of patterns have their simple ones, for example simplicity has a range of 'it's so easy' clothes, which are supposed to be simpler than the regular ones. but even the regulra ones arent that hard, as you follow the step by step instructions, and there's even pictures.

i've made LOADS of cushions, a quilt (almost), and the items of clothing i've made. i think it's really fun. my friend has even asked me to make her something.

I'm alright at it - I did fabric for a year before I had to stop because I changed schools.

Once I made myself a Fairy costume, I already had the wings but I made myself a tutu kind of thing and legwarmers for a House Athletics day. Don't ask :P

I like sewing, especially hand sewing. I don't do much, though, nor do I do cross-stitch, embroidery, etc. I used to sew up my holey socks though, in an attempt to do what I often read in those English school stories as "darning". :P

I always love looking at stitches of any kind. I think it's an art all in itself and I'm quite convinced when I see whole carpets done of millions and millions of tiny stitches. You would never think they were stitches just looking at them. Such detail!

Personally, I don't think I'm too bad at it although I would not flatter myself enough to claim I'm good. I also can work the sewing machine pretty quickly and accurately, but I don't practice anymore.

There's never enough time to do everything, so I just do a few things. Unfortunately, that doesn't include sewing.

I haven't actually done any sewing, hand or machine, since I was maybe 9 or 10, and even then I was fairly bad at it. I'm not very good with small crafts like that, and I suspect that I'd spend most of the time poking myself with the needle.

On a slightly unrelated note, I do sometimes do needlepoint, since my mom used to work at a needlepoint store when she was a lot younger, and taught me how. It's sort of fun, but it gets monotonous.

HA! I'm absolutely useless at sewing! Once we had a lesson in it and somehow, I managed to sew my cushion case to my skirt. I had to walk across the classroom stooped over, holding it up for the teacher to cut me out!

My mom's the same. We had a Greek day at school and she made me a costume for it. She's so bad, she actually managed to sew up my sleeve. I had to walk about all day pretending I'd had my arm amputated because she didn't know how to put it right!

I absolutly suck at sewing, I sometimes do it, when I really need to. I always poke my fingers, and sew crooked, and I'm just bad at it. That's why I have my mom to sew me stuff, and I go to my dad for his sewing machine. :D

Yes. Three hoodies, a crop top, a pair of pants, a pair of capri pants, shorts, a pair of pyjama's and a bunch of other stuff.

I use sewing machines.

I don't sew, I knit. I did make an outfit for an 18-inch doll once, but I didn't really enjoy it. I just did it so it would be done. I've knit two scarves, and I'm working on a third. I've also knit about three pairs of sock... glove... things. Like gloves, but with no fingers. I'm working on another pair, because the first two were horrible, and the third was for a friend. This one is for MEEEEEEEE!!!

My aunt sends me crosstitchs, and I do those, and I made myself a purse. I like adding to clothes, and I'm kind of tyring to figure out some altering type things.

I love sewing. I don't have much time for it but when I do, I love it.

I always use a machine. I don't have the patience for hand sewing much beyond a basic baste.

In the past I have sewn corderoy overalls, a velvet dress (it was for prom but really more elegant and classic than "prom dress" implies), and just a few weeks ago a terry cloth work out out fit.

My big thing, no matter what I make is that it doesn't look "homemade" at least where I live, homemade clothing implies that you couldn't afford real clothes (even though it costs nearly as much to sew them) and that it looks sloppy or messed up. I love showing people things I made because they see it and comment on how nice it is or "where did you get that?" and I tell them I made it and their jaws drop.

My next project is a skirt that I already have the material for and then after that I'm considering making a "blue jean quilt". I saw one while I was visiting my dad and it just looked so warm and comfortable that I asked about it, and now I'm saving my worn out jeans to make my own.

Last year, we had to make pillows. Used two pieces of cloth, and sewed three of the sides. Stuffed it, then sew the last bit. I was SO nervous, but I wasn't that bad.

I'm still about 9/20 now...I guess average is about 6.5/20?
