I think, think, a few scences in some of the old Tarzan movies were filmed at the springs that are near us.
*shrugs* I'd have to check, though.

someone's already mentioned my town, but i'm going to throw in some other stuff. guess where i'm from (and the person who mentioned it is not allowed to guess!

)
-once called "porkopolis"
-famous for its chili and its ice cream
-jerry springer was once mayor
-nick lachey (and another member of 98 degrees), carmen electra, and sarah jessica parker once called it home
-the only city in america that provides special funding for the arts
-also the only city in america where discrimination against gays is legal
-the baseball team once swept the world series
can you guess?

*giggles* Apparently, Carmen Electra went to my high school. (rather, the high school I was supposed to go to before I moved to a different district) Hah. That's a nice thing to be able to brag about...

Town? Well, I guess you could classify a suburb of Sydney a town... it's like an hour drive to get there.
But, my town isn't on many maps, not unless they're substantially detailed.
Well, I live in Glenhaven, NSW, Aust.
Delta Goodrem lives here, but that's about it. It's a rather small suburb....

I'm originally from Charleston, WV, so:
-State Capital (that always helps)
-the Capitol dome has the largest gold-leaf dome in the world, larger even than St. Peter's Basilica
That's really it.
I now live in St. Louis, MO:
-Anheuser-Busch.
-"Gateway to the West:" STL was THE place for all products and people going up or down the Mississippi River to be sorted out before continuing their journeys.
-The arch.
-The Cardinals.
-The Rams.
-The Atlanta Hawks were actually founded here.
-Was once the fourth-largest city in the country. Had more people per square foot than Rome at its heydey.

A few blocks down from me, they're filming Extreme Makeover: Home Edition right now. In fact, they have been for 2 weeks.
Yes, you heard me. 2 weeks.

Alrighty...my city...
-Billy Klippert from Canadian Idol (the runner up) went to my highschool. I have his social 30 textbook! Convienently Calgary is also his hometown.
-The Calgary Flames were runners-up in the Stanley Cup. (the game was STOLEN from us...stupid refs *shakes fist*)
-Circ de Solei (sp?) has performed here twice over the last few years.
-Our main bridge was used in a big explosion scene in a movie that escapes my mind.
-Health Ledger was seen motorcycling around downtown a few months ago.
I can't think of any others right now, and when I remember the title of that movie, I'll edit my post.
