And please, don't fall into this new "trend" where it's almost cool to be sarcastic or just plain mean and nasty to people on the boards.
I'm not mean or sarcastic to normal people, just to people posting scams and asking for passwords. 1) its fun to taunt them 2) giving them fake passwords wastes their time for getting real accounts 3) if they post that kind of crap on Neo, they better be ready to take the heat from people who won't tolerate their kind of nonsense.
Edit: But I understand the bit about not posting on boards if you can't control your temper
Scream, you're very wise to not let anyone know your neo name on AIM or anywhere else. Actually no one needs to know that, right?
And you're right on why we can't type cookie anymore, just annoying since there are cookies that are things on the site and if you need, say, a magic cookie, it makes it hard to ask for help.
I have a zero tolerance for scammers, believe me. I lost my first account to a fake log in page scam. Yes, I got the account back after a couple of months, but it really opened my eyes. The very idea of stealing or trying to steal things that aren't real or cheating on a game
And yes, it gets annoying when people beg or you see the same question over and over. That's when it's time to just leave if I'm getting annoyed, not take out on a person what someone else made me angry about or because I'm in a bad mood.
The sarcastic/mean/nasty I'm talking about is say, for example, someone is new to the site, they know next to nothing. So they come to a board and ask a question, like their pet is sick and help, what do I do? Or they've unfortunately fallen for a scam, like the off TP trading (that's so awful). And people just post the rudest things they can think of because they seem to think it's cool. Some even have in their html or siggy things about being mean, rude, sarcastic and to get over it or they're proud of it.
