Bleh... I did not like Adaptation.

1. didn't wanna see a woman giving birth at the beginning of the movie..
2. REALLY didn't want to see the sexual parts of the movie... *shudders* I'll never look at Meryl the same again... bleh

why in the world would you go to see an R-rated movie if sexual scenes make you uncomfortable? there's a reason for those ratings, you know.

Don't get snippy with me.
I could really care less about sex/sexual things in movies.. but in THAT movie I didn't particularly care for it.

i wasn't being snippy, but you certainly are in your reply.

Actually no, I wasn't being "snippy". I was merely explaining myself a bit more since it seemed like my previous post apparently made me out to be some prude who gets grossed out or whatnot by any sort of sexuality in movies.

Anywho... it's silly to argue over any movie... 8)

And I loved the Truman Show! Don't see why people were disappointed in it. I think Jim Carrey does a really good job at serious/semi-serious roles.

They actually poke a bit of fun at him in the movie, the characters know he's an actor, but they can't think of anything he's been in.

i never noticed john malkovich in anything until i saw that movie, then i saw him everywhere! he is, surprisingly, a really good actor. his eyes kind of freak me out, though. they're kind of crossed.

Oh yes, you are right. I never knew who he was until after that film.

It was an excellent film, I'd love to see it again.

The thing that bothers me about John Malkovich, is that he over-annunciates when he talks. He pronounces every letter in a word so solidly, that it doesn't seem natural at all.

But thats what makes him him! His accent and his over-pronunciation makes him noticable.

Yeah, it's kind of odd.

I like it, it works when he plays a bad guy such as Cyrus in Con Air. It just adds to the dementedness.

It didn't work in The Man In The Iron Mask. My brother and I kept making fun of it.

"The KiNG iS A DoG." Him over-annunciating that sentance (as shown by my funky typing) just makes me laugh.

Yes. John is definately more of a stage actor. I love him, but sometimes I think he should stick to Shakespeare.

Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich ?

:D

That movie made me laugh and shudder, I loved it.

My favourite Kaufman has to be Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind though, he was able to perfect his writing in this movie so well, he gets exponentially better in each film.
