Well I'm really hyper and I really like butterflies (they have religious symbolism for me and they are just plain awesome for a whole bunch or reasons that it sounds like you already know 
). Flutterby comes from butterfly (just rearranging the word). I just picked it because it was different. I don't really know why. I once read that butterflies were originally called flutterbys in old English or something, but that somewhere along the way it got confused into butterfly. But I read that after I took this name. Oh and I use this name all over the internet, not just here, so in many ways it is simply a part of me now.

I was with her when she signed up. One of us said something about hyper, and it just had to do with butterflys....
