I think it's unfair to compare the virtual codes and the plushies with the cell phone avatar.

With items redemed from prize codes anyone can purchase those items from the people who won them given enough np. The people who paied money are getting a windfall, but it's not keeping anyone from an aspect of the site. If you have to pay for avatars, which can't be traded, than that's effectivly locking people out of a competition that a lot of people are intersted in (high level avatar collecting)

Plushies are sort of out in left field being real.

Stop complaining. Neopets spent their own precious time to make a good site for people to play on. And here you are, just saying how much they don't do for you. Way to go... you're being both disrespectful and ungreatful. I don't expect you to get down on your kness and worship them, but I would at least expect people to give credit where credit is due.

And I and many other people have spent our own precious time playing their site, making it a target for sponcors, earning them money, and many of us buy their merchandise. Yet when one of THEIR glitches poofs away my 600K [also known as 3 months of my life :wink: ] they dont return Items lost in glitches. So if they arent going to appreciate my time spent on them, I'm gonna do the same back. =D

Dawn... have you ever lost 21 million NP or a year or more of work due to laziness or incompassion on the part of neopets? Or a few million NP because of a glitch, only to be told they would not replace it?

Does anyone remember blackraptor? Oh yeah, he lost tens of millions because he unequipped some weapons in the dome. Nice one TNT.

Obviously everyone who is here is grateful that neopets exists - If they werent, they wouldnt be here. But TNT have a duty to ensure the site runs properly and isnt full of unecessary dodginess. Sure, they arent obliged to do it, but surely out of compassion?

Yes, but you wasted your own time. Your saying you blame Neopets because you played their site. No one made you. If Neopets wasted your time, why are you playing it? A lot of you need to come back into reality. Real life is more important than some silly computer game.

Ohh, noooooo.... I'm not blaming neopets because they made me play their site.... I'm blaming them for turning my 600K (Once again also known as 3 months of my life...) into nothing, which is turning 3 months of my life into nothing...

Time is only wasted ifyou don't learn something from it. I admit, I've thought about quitting Neopets because the quality of it has gone down hill since I started playing, but I look back at all that time and effort I put into my account and... well, it does feel like a waste. Same as when I finish a drawing, spray it with fixative and the next morning, find the cat soundly asleep on it.. and the big whole in the drawing from the cat's claws.

Neopets requires creativity to get anywhere and make it in the games. That creativity is very important to many of us, myself, because I am an artist, though I don't get paid to do it.

Dawn2, I hate to say it, but you are actually proving the point that Neopets has about us players. It's just a game, so why should they bother to keep things running smoothly and have the decency to warn us if they are making "major" changes? And I suppose it's just too much to ask that when they do the major changes without telling us, that means they'll take responsibility when glitches occur that cost us our creative efforts?

To those who lost things to this recent series of glitches, keep at them. Heck, just keep sending mail after mail, fill out those forms. Remind Neopets who actually has the last say in the game! US!!!!

And whose choice was it to spend three months doing nothing but play on Neopets? I'm just saying that you shouldn't be complaining about lost time when no one but yourself chose to waste your time on Neopets. Life isn't perfect and you have to accept that these things happen. Being mad isn't going to help. It isn't like you haven't made mistakes either.

But who says I'm mad? Oh, right.. because I complain? Sorry, I'm not angry, because it's time well spent that I could have been out vandalizing Neoheadquarters, but I do like to see some sort of reward, be it a finished drawing, a smoothly running car, or even that one petpet I've always wanted. I've been playing for almost 2 years and when my first account was unfairly frozen, I complained, because they took a game from me that I truly enjoyed. I created another one, but my joy in it is very limited... and well, I no longer bother with sponsor games nor do I buy their merchandise.
Of course, ever stop and think that you are wasting your time complaining about those of us who do complain? After all no one's forcing you to read these posts :wink:

Sorry, my rant is over, for those who still have lost loads of stuff, I'm sorry, but keep complaining!!

Man, I give up. Go get your 600K glitched away by a glitch that you didn't cause and get frozen literally seconds after earning your first million and tell me you feel the same way you do now.

Money isn't everything to me in the real world or the online world. I understand how you're upset. I understand how everybody is upset. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't act like it's the end of the world. It's all pixels on a computer.

I'm not arguing anymore. We've already established that we don't share the same point of view. You understand what I'm trying to say and vice versa. We agree to disagree, and I'm backing out to leave it at that.
