I say the letters L-O-L. I've never said them out loud before, but I used to have this friend once who would always go, "L-O-L, J/k, j/k" when he would laugh at someone. He was one strange bird.

If I'm reading aloud, I'll say it as letters "Ell Oh Ell" and sometimes I read it the same way in my head, though sometimes, I read it in my head as a word "lohl" (rhymes with 'roll'). As for other abbreviations, If they represent a shortened phrase, like "brb" or "jk", I'll read them as the words they are, both in my head and outloud. "Rofl" is an exception, I read it as "roffle" in my head, and I'm not sure if I would read it out loud as words or as that "roffle" sound.
I do know that... if I'm on the phone, and I need to step away, instead of saying "hold on a sec" like I used to, I now say "I'll be right back" and my brother makes fun of me for it.

I say it as Lol. As in like "lollipop"'s lol. Sometimes people stare at me in real life when I accidentally say 'lol' while giggling at a joke or something...
