There is a rumor that he looses jeopardy on Thursday's episode.
I am really wondering what is gonna happen.
I want to see if this is just a rumor or if he really looses.

I think he loses on the 75th episode. How many episodes has he been on so far?

I heard that he loses when he either wins $2.5 million or shortly after he surpasses that amount. OR, it could've just been a nasty rumor started by CBS so that viewers will definitely watch him to see the episode that he will "supposedly lose." And then it'll turn out that he didn't lose, but CBS will have gotten their viewership. If so, that'd be pretty sneak/evil ^^

It's not a rumor, I saw it on Yahoo! News. I think it said that he loses sometime in December, but I'm most likely wrong. XD

Umm... Thursday's episode is a College Championship episode.

A rumor was started that he loses in his 75th episode. It was all over the news in September. I doubt it, though.

They stopped announcing his number of wins a while ago, but it's 68 so far. (As of Monday) The 75th episode will air November 30th.

And yes, it is a rumour. The person who started it said the producers told them to spread the news. Umm... right. The producers don't want anything to be known until the air date. This is an official statement from the producers:


By the way, why would CBS start a rumour to get viewers to watch a show that isn't even on their network?

I get Jeopardy! on both a NBC and ABC. Greer is a confusing town. You get stations from Greenville and Spartanburg SC, Charolette and Asheville NC, and I get PBS' out the wazoo.

I might want to see that. Well, atleast I know I'm not watching reruns because of WLOS' stupidity.

Just in case anyone wanted to know, Jeopardy!'s syndicated. It doesn't belong to any network. Stations in each market can "buy" the show so they get the tapes and they can air it in their market. Here, Detroit's NBC station (WDIV) airs it.

That's almost impossible. They've got very intense security on the J! set, since they don't want to repeat the Quiz Show Scandals of the 50s. Besides, he would've been caught by now if he did.
