Did you ever report them, or did you let them scam other people...
*makes a tsk tsk noise*

Really? People have done this? OK, I was scammed when I was still kind of new on the site - fake log in page (thank you TNT for taking that one away!). Yes, I wanted to find out who did it, no I never did.

I didn't want to find out so I could try to get into their account, I wanted to report and hound them to the ends of the earth for stooping so low as to steal imaginary items and pretend money. Plus stop them before they took their scamming ways out into the rest of the "real" virtual world.

You were very, very lucky that you were not caught entering someone else's account, no matter what the reason. Yes, the other person would probably have been frozen - for their protection and you would have been frozen for scamming and never got your account back. Ironic, no?

A friend of mine asked me to go on her account to work on her lookup. This is someone I know fairly well and we do trust each other. I said absolutely not. There's no way I want to know anyone's password first of all, and I'm sure not going to risk my accounts and hers for a lookup.

Lots of people like to "play" with scammers whether on the site directly or via aim, email, etc. My opinion is don't. Block the person trying to contact you and either walk away or report, depending on how you prefer to handle things.
