Can anybody help me? *please?*

I've got you covered. We are reading that book currently as well and I decided to go ahead and finish it. (Not that I enjoyed it that much, I'm just a completist). I sent you a PM ^_^

Edit: In fact, I had that exact same question ^_^

This is something I'm doing on my own, but doesn't anyone know how to learn Japanese real quick? I tried books, but they didn't help me much. I'm currently using this, and it's helping me a little, but there are some words that it doesn't have. Help?

Book/tape combinations are the best, although they don't generally teach you rules for structuring sentences.

But anyway, you cand find them at Waldenbooks, B.Dalton, et cetera.

I highly doubt that this is actual homework. And there's nothing stopping you from putting it into a calculator yourself ^_^

-21,315,972,615,111,113,777,121/33,554,432.
Or approximately -6.35265488 x 10^14.

As do I. But there's quite a bit stopping him from inputting it into a calculator...as not many are made to handle such big numbers.

Ok, I'm doing a project for my Online Application Class (It's supposed to be HTML, I have NO idea why we are doing this... anyway). We're supposed to pick a place to go on vacation and I picked Melbourne, Australia.

The problem is this: I've search over the internet and I can't find any site with the gas prices listed. I know it will have to be converted, but I can't even find a price. Can someone help with this?

I can give you a good hint: In Melbourne, it's not gas. It's petrol.

Like shapu said, it's petrol :)

Lately though, it's been about 90c - $1. (Australian currency).

7 wonders of the world

Sun Nov 14, 2004 7:45 pm

Does anyone know what the 7 natural wonders of the world are? I've tried google searching but it shows different one. The ones i know for sure are: Mount Everest; The Northern Lights; Victoria Falls; Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon.
I have info on the other two. Paricutin Volcano and The Harbor of Rio de Janeiro. Can anyone varify that thoese two are correct?

Ahhhhhh... Thanks, that must have been the problem. Also, is that in litres?

W00t. Just got to monomials and trinomials in my math book, and have no clue what is going on there. I think I've figured out the monomial thing, but the trinomials still have me going cuckoo. Woohoo. Factoring and stuff I'm having the biggest problem with.

Anyways, here are a few examples of the sort of problems I'm having. Err... lessee...

Saxon Algebra 1, Problem Set 72 (so you know where to look if you have the right resources).

Factor. Begin by factoring out the greatest common factor.

7. (x - 1)x2 + 10(x - 1)

11. 2x3 + 16x2 + 30x

I'd post more examples, but mny keyboard is currently glitching, and I can't type right. If you have any questions, well... you know what to do. Oh! And those smaller numbers are supposed to be 'powers of'.

The following mathematical expression is valid (the distributive law): a(b+c) = ab + ac

It is no big surprise, then, that: ab + ac = a(b+c). When you factor a polynomial, you are essentially "reverse-distributing".

7. (x-1)x^2 + 10(x-1).
Well, this problem looks similar to ab + ac. Like a, the quantity (x-1) shows up in both terms.
Factor it out to get: (x-1)(x^2 + 10)

11. 2x^3 + 16x^2 + 30x
The common term here is 2x. If you factor it out, you get 2x(x^2 + 8x + 15). You can always verify your work by distributing the 2x back. You should, of course, get the same equation you started with (and you do).

I think the Seven Wonders change occasionally.
At encyclopedia.com, I found this:
the Great Pyramid of Khufu (see pyramid ) or all the pyramids with or without the sphinx ; the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, with or without the walls; the mausoleum at Halicarnassus; the Artemision at Ephesus ; the Colossus of Rhodes ; the Olympian Zeus, statue by Phidias ; and the lighthouse at Pharos , Alexandria, or, instead, the walls of Babylon.
