a very close call between metroid prime2: echoes and dawn of war..
has to be dawn of war, doombreed esque daemons are far cooler than that bleedin boost guardian.

Well I'm not a big fan on a lot of the more popular video games. Out of the list I would vote for GTA, but I voted for other. Other being Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. (Only because I was waiting for the third one since well, a really long time.)

The Sims 2 was definately my favorite game of 04... no contest there.

Can you pick a game that's not a FPS? There are tons of original games out there.

The Sims 2, as others said. Got it the day it came out (from pre-ordering) and been addicted since!

My vote is Halo 2, I bought the game and I love it. I play roughly 2 - 5 hours a day on it!

sims 2 or rollercoaster tycoon 3, but though RCT3 has a lot of bugs...

Hmmm...I haven't paid that much attention to games this year, so I'm going to have to say GTA, which no matter how much I deny it, it's a good game.
