The Chamber of Secrets has always been the favorite of mine, but I can't remember why. Although I did enjoy Order of the Phoenix quite a bit. I haven't read any of them in quite some time though, so I can't remember much from them. :P

I haven't read order of the pheonix yet so it would have to be The Goblet of fire, it was dark, full of suspense, great plot and at the end you knew Harry had grown up

Well then, instead of racking up posts on a topic that doesn't involve you. Politely butt-out. :)

Prisoner of Azkaban for me.

Goblet of Fire. I find it, the first book after she sort decided not to rush things.

Its also long, and action packed.

If you were to ask character, NYMPHADORA TONKS :D

Like half the others. The other half, like me, is in it for MWPP and especially Sirius.

1. PoA, for reasons above plus a clockwork plot
2. GoF, for an awesome mystery and bloodchilling Voldemort scenes
3. OotP, for brilliant, very applicable satire and all the extra info and character development, but downgraded for smurf!Harry and, yeah, THAT
4. PS, for being the first book I read with a genuine plot twist and having surprising things that pop out, and so early (did any of you catch that Hagrid "flew" to the Hut-On-The-Rock? Bit big for a broomstick, don't you think?) but downgraded for being relatively simple.
5. CoS, because the plotline is basically filler space. Also, I have a nasty suspicion that the important info relates to house-elves, and Kreacher in particular...

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.

Definetly Goblet of Fire. The tournament, the characterization . . . and an awesome finale.

My favorite is The Order of the Phoenix. If a book makes me cry, then it has done the impossible... Why did you have to die?

The Order of the Pheonix all the way, longest and best book! I can't wait until June 16. Harry Potter 6!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix and goblet of fire are both up there. Both great plot lines. My least favourtie would be chambers of secret just never really got it o.0

Prisoner of Azkaban, by far.

Why?

-None of the "This is Harry. He's magical. These are the Dursleys. They're mugglyunmagical. Harry suffers during the summer because the Dursleys don't like Harry" drudgery. He even gets to blow up Aunt Marge and then go to Diagon Alley and eat ice cream!

-Hermione is a member of the important climactic ending part. [I've noticed that JK Rowling rotated it through the books-#1 with just Harry, #2 with Harry and Ron, #3 with Harry and Hermione]

-Lupin is such the ideal teacher, and that gives the book a very warm glow.

-It's the beginning of most of the complexities of the series, and complexities are fun.
