Her voice wouldn't be like that if she didn't force it so much. She like yells during her songs which ruins her vocal cords. I still like her and I think she is a good singer. I'm no pre-teen either. I'm 18 (well...almost), and I don't like it when people stereotype her fans (or any 'teeny-bopper' singer's fans)...or say what kind of people should like which kind of singers/artists. Let me pick for myself.

That was my point. Sinead had talent, I liked her music, and the people booing her probably liked her music too. But they booed her because OMG!!11!! She actually dared to express her opinion on a controversial issue! How taboo!
People will boo other people for just about anything.
And again, as much as I don't like her, I want people to get over it. Because I'm sick of hearing about her. Even if it's bad publicity, it's still publicity.

She made we want to scream, too! (To cover up that sound she was making with her mouth!!)
And the other artist was Trace Adkins - a country singer - Who's been putting cd's out for nearly 10 years. I would have put up with Ashlee's screeching if I could have gone and seen Trace!
No one boo's him (probably because the ones that would are afraid of his gigantic size, he's so tall!), but also because his voice is his voice.

Ashlee deserved to be booed after a performance like that. What was she thinking?
On the other hand, Kelly's mic wasn't working. Tragedy. Luckily she salvaged her performance and didn't let the mic thing get to her.
I think Jay Leno summed it up nicely, "They had two major problems at the Orange Bowl halftime show. Kelly Clarkson's mic wasn't working and Ashlee Simpson's was."

Before I saw the clips of the fiasco, my opinion was that of what most of you guys said in the first page. People need to get over her SNL disaster.
But since seeing the clips...I'm agreeing with the people who booed. That was pretty much the worst singing I've ever heard. Ashlee really needs to learn to control her voice and the volume. I've heard her sing on Jay Leno- though "La La" ended up being sung in minor and half an octave lower, she could hit...well, most of the notes. She should've stuck to the same volume for this one instead of yelling out the words.

I take back everything I said. I would've booed as well. That was the WORST performance I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Yes, people need to get over the SNL fact but I believe the real reason behind the booing was her lack of TALENT. She deserves to be booed. That was horrible.

lol They don't care if she lip syncs as long as she doesn't suck at it. Right now she sucks at EVERYTHING, and she refuses to stop sucking, so people are sick of her. *cracks up*

Thank you. I suppose its kind of redundant. I mean with all the major problems that she represents, a poor fashion sense hardly seems to be a big deal.
That's like studying Hitler and focusing on his bad breath.
But I agree, as far as fashion goes, even from what I've seen of her on TV, she's hardly a Stella McCartney.
