And the psp will be able to hook up to your computer and PS2, so you can download stuff, like new vehicles for racing or somethin. And yes, the PSP has wireless mutiplayer, and personally, i think i will have better games too. You can also play movies and music on it, so... I like the PSP, and the PSP will only cost between $150-$200.
DS only 100-150 :P
200+ thanks. :) I'm trying for PSP. MP Hunters just killed the whole experience for me. (It sucked and you know it :P) Although, if I can't get a PSP I'll just settle for a DS.

Well, sony needs to get their act together then, because what they made was a poor excuse for a handheld. They did make good graphics, but the 3 and under hours is just plain killing it.Even if mp hunters wasn't that good,we have Yoshi's touch N' go to look forward to.Hey,if they can't make a good SYSTEM,then the company should be ashamed of themselves.I personaly have a vendetta with sony:they had a good amount of time wiht their system, and they screwed up.Plain and simple.Yet since ps2 was "such a hit"everyone is now going to back the psp,the obvious shotty piece of work, over the DS.

Number one: It was just a demo.
Number two: It sucked if you used the buttons. It you use the touch screen to aim and the L button (or R button for lefties) to fire, it ROCKED and YOU know it!

They quality of the product has nothing to do with Sony "messing up". They want to sell it for the least that they can and still maintain the power that they want the PSP to have. The only way they can do that is to sacrifice the battery life.. You know how much the PSP would cost if it had a long battery life? I bet not. Anyway, if the DS had the graphics and power of the PSP, it probably wouldn't have that great of a battery life either. This is going to be a pointless arguement just like the XBox's "Big controllers". Seriously, stash up on rechargable batteries or something. There's a way around everything. Heck, Sony will probably come out with things that will stop this problem anyway. There are things called "adapters" that can be used just about anywhere. Batteries can be used when there's not an adapter port available.

The DS is highly overrated (after playing it many times). It's not bad (like it might sound like I'm saying), it's just not the "God of Gaming" that everyone makes it out to be. The PSP well, with the amount of fanboys running around here, probably will be too (heck, handhelds are overall). Oh, and more people have a vendetta against Nintendo than Sony, which accounts for something obviously.

Good Things
You can play GBA (i think GB too) as well.

It can play the GBA games but it is incompatible with the GB games.

*currently works at a Game Stop* :P

More games will be released for it though I'm sure. I believe Metroid comes out in March. :)

Your so right man, PSP is gonna have lots of assesories (Playstation Mag, it'll be more of a fashon tool(but it'll still be a concil for hard gamers) ). Mistake naaaa, was it a mistake when Sony came into the stationary council and rule the buisness noooooo, so this is just another step in empire. But this might be hard Ninitendo rules this market and we all know that Xbox will get it in really soon. DS is $149.00 plus tax which might make the final cost like 155 or so, luckly enough being stationed here in Deutchland and being a US military person means no tax when buying stuff from the Exchange (like a regular store) so we can get it cheaper then you guys, so that means I won't have extra cost so I get the flat price.

Well, considering that I actually go on other forums with other biased opinions,I will stand by nintendo to the end of it.If they made earthbound for the super nintendo, they'll pull a miracle like with the gamecube. And when I say miracle,I mean they'll find a way to make the psp get shafted.

They might but by the that time Microsoft will come on and we'll have the same situation we have in the council market.

Well, it is the GOD OF GAMING *thunder* to me. I got it the day it came out and I can say without a doubt, I couldn't be happier. If the DS has one weak point though, it is first impressions. The DS takes a lot a time to get used to and if you only play it for 10 minutes, you won't like it because you won't be good at it. When I first played the Metroid Demo, I thought it was pretty bad. Then I slowly got used to it. Now, I am pulling out the demo pretty often because it is so much FUN! If you really want to have fun with a DS you need to find someone who has one, go to their house, and play it for 30-90 minutes. That is when you find out how much fun the DS is.

Well, currently I'm leaning towards the Nintendo DS, even though my sis says she prefers the PSP. The next Pokemon generation game [Diamond/Pearl] will be in DS. ^_^ I don't like the battery life of the PSP, which is a major drawback to me.

I've never played either. (Don't like pocket gaming. Bah.) But from reading about each of them, I like the Gameboy. Plus it has Final Fantasy 1 and 2 on it. The battery life problem of the PS really puts me off, even if I did hoarde batteries like some sort of battery obsessed gopher.
