Oral-B brush ups commercial. (Rip, slip, brush UP!)

Hate:
Old navy commercial. (MOWING THE LAWN? I LOVE TO MOW THE LAWN! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR IT TO GROW! IT'S A HAIR CUT FOR THE LAWN!)
Kit-Kat commercial. (Dude, I'm taking a break.)

lol I remember that. "It's a really really really really big big boooone, that's why they call it Jumboooone!!"

That was indeed horribly amusing.

I dunno if I hate that commercial or love it. But maybe I do miss it...hmmm.

There was once this Pepsi commercial with a girl in a hot dog suit. Blind Melon was playing in the background and she was handing out flyers for some hot dog restaurant. Finally she gives up and throws the flyers into the gutter, looks across the street and sees a guy in a BIG Pepsi can suit. And they go skipping off into the sunset. It was adorable. <3

Hehe.. I remember the Pepsi and Hotdog.

Okay, I have one.

The one Geico commercial where they're camping and this guy says,"Lets gt campy!" and this girl says,"Clothing are fun! But they won't save you money on car insurance." and blows on a marshmallow. And other stuff.

Or something like that.

Apparently I have no sense of humour because I hate it.

I LOVE HEBS adverts.
For anyone not getting Border/Scottish telly, HEBS were Health Education Board Scotland (now NHS Scotland) who did informative adverts about sex, drugs, alcohol, smoking etc. The NHS Scotland Adverts are crap. The HEBS adverts are masterpieces.
And it's sad, because I rarely meet anyone out of my area (apart from in Scotland) who knows the true glory of these things.

From the non-smoking advert with fictional girl band 'Stinx' ("hey boy, fancy getting jiggy? What's the problem, the smell of my...ciggy? etc.) to the absolutely amazing and KING OF ALL ADVERTS drugs awareness advert featuring the people tasting blue sticks, and that fabulous "This tastes BOGGIN" line, I will never see health promotive adverts in the same way again.

This is kind of a stupid question, but is the word "advert" exclusively British? Because here in America, we call them "ads"...I'd never seen the word "advert" before.

'ad' is an abbreviation of 'advert', Chrome. Just you Yanks are too lazy ;)

Although I do believe that if you look it up on dictionary.com 'ad' is there as a word in its own right.

Oh that Geico commercial fooled me. I thought it was another corny Old Navy commercial. ^__^ Wish they'd play it again, it was one of my favorites.

Nuh uhhhh, they're both abbreviations of "advertisement." It's just we, with our brilliant American ingenuity, decided to conserve our precious syllable resources. ;)

I remember those HEBS adverts ( Live in Scotland ). Girls in my class knew the lines to that fake song.....anyway the idea was genius.

I hate Curry's adverts. If I see one more person doing that snip snip action I don't know what I'll do.

OK. Just want to say that the crazy frog should be strangled. Or dropped from a large height. And the HEBS adverts were fantastic. The blue sticks ones had a large affect on me. But Stinx was fantastic. Did they not actually release that song? Because that was the only thing the people ion my class were singing when it first came out ("Why do you keep, a running boy? Can't run so fast, got a pain in my chest, oh!"). But there's the advert where the lassie see's the boy at school and remembers the party she was at. That is just disgusting what happens. But I love that advert for the patch that only works during the day because your cravings don't bother you at night. The latest one's good *Imagine's a cigarette gargelling and then looking in the mirror*. And I agree about the curry's ads. But the current McDonalds offer advertys are funny ("You can have Bernie tonight *holds up a little, freaky, furry creature* Bernie likes you"). And the 3 adverts are just fantastic ("If you eat me now. You'll take away the biggest part of me"). But ALL Irn-Bru adverts are fantastic, but the current ones are a bit, well, meh ("Phenomenal, do-do-do-do-do")

I hate those Oust commercials. They don't even make sense. Look at a transcript:

WOMAN: "My daughter Carlie is a tomboy and all her clothes are always icky and dirty."

WOMAN: *opens a door to a closet filled with frilly pink clothing*

:D That commercial really doesn't make sense. Plus, if you are a tomboy, it doesn't mean your clothes are icky and dirty. And all the shirts in there are pink or light blue. It's ridiculous!

I miss the Doublmint Gum commercials with the songs. And there would be twins chewing the doublemint gum. Oh! And the Mentos songs. Those were classics. One time our class did a one act play, and it all ended with us holding up Mentos and the song playing in the background. Mentos, the Freshmaker. ^___^

I love the HP commercials, the songs pretty catchy. xD
I also love all of the Geico commercials too !
GEICO SPOKESMAN: "Geico's so easy even a caveman could use it!"
CAMERAMAN (CAVEMAN): Not cool! *stomps off stage*
