I'm scared, I love Star Wars this one will most likely suck major rhino guts like the last two. I'll gop to see it, because I think its something I won't be able to turn to the critics for.

But going off that subject, I think the first Star Wars is kinda boring, I only really love Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, well I liked the swoop bikes and the space battle at the end. The Ewok battle was kinda of dumb, it was going to be on the Wookie homeworld but Lucas wanted to change it for whatever stupid reason he has.

the wookie home world (kashyyyk) is going to be shown in ROTS, revealing the origins of Chewbacca, the ewok battle was indeed very weird and somewhat disturbing...

my favorite was A New Hope, it's such a complicated world, but by using familiar personalities he made it seem very logical... The Empire Strikes Back was my second favorite, because it was just... better on all other stuff except for the storyline
Phantom Menace and Clones Attack don't have that same story feeling the first ones had. i hope ROTS is going to be a transition between both sorts of stories...

Yeah I heard they were looking for places that would suite to film for it at a while back. But the problem was with the last two new star wars movies is that they had some pretty bad acting at times. The stories were bland and felt like some cheesy fan fic. And Lucas's obsession with CGI makes things seem too un-real. They say in ROTS that they're going to be entering the dark days of the galaxy, so things are going to be more primitive and bare bones looking like in the original trilogy. And that is something I hope they stay true to, because that's what gave star wars ships and machines there originality in the first place in my opinion.

But I think I'm just rambling now, I guess we can all just keep are fingers crossed and hope Jar Jar Binks dies in an explosion or something.

I'm sure he's already managed to kill himself, perhaps in an incident involving a motorised Tie-Rack.

dont bet on it.
heeeessssaaaa back
govener of naboo or somthing stupid.
and kashyk was devestated in the clone wars (see: the game and the book, oddly enough not called the clone wars, but i forget what its called)

book 9 is the best. it ends. irrevicably, no more.

as for the "big bad" other than anakin going psycho on us, we have some droid commando wielding four lightsabres or somthing eually stupid.
seriously! a robot with lightsabres! not content with one, or even a double one, he has to go with some number i cant even remember.
lucas lost it years ago, obviously wasnt a lucas given that the original director was fired towards the end of the filming for return of the jedi

General Grevious which is the droid commando or whatever's name, wields three lighsabers I beleive, tw in his hands and holds one with his foot like a chimp or somethin'. It looks kinda stupid, (you've seen the Star Wars micro series right, maybe not, it was alright, people die it was cool)
One of the Direcotrs I beleive said that Lucas was over commercializing the movie when he decided to change from the Wookie homeworld and using Endor and the Ewoks instead. Jar Jar Binks has single handedly brung Star Wars to its knees, along with bad writing and bad acting...well atleast I beleive Mace Windu dies, gives me something to look forward to.

dont blme it on jar jar.
he emphasises lucas psychotic nature, but he isnt the only thing wrong with the films, by far

Tue Jan 18, 2005 10:42 pm

I agree, I actually like the desighn of the gungans, Jar Jar's character is just annoying...I blame drugs, and CGI, I wonder what the world would be like at times without those things...

Wed Jan 19, 2005 12:14 am

well lucas would never have made star wars in the first place.
the world would be a happier place arguing over whether enterprise has royally messed up the continuity or just massivly.

You might want to consider posting a *spoiler* warning at the beginning of this topic. I know it's apalling, but there are people who avoid knowing everything about the movies before they go see them. ;)

I love star wars. From what I've seen, Ep III is going to be pretty good, but even if every review I read said it sucked, I'd still go see it at least once. I don't think any of the sequals will ever capture the feel of the first movie, although honestly RotJ is still my favorite. That's the movie that took a one-hit-wonder and turned it into a continuing story with a wild extended universe.

And I like jar-jar binks. I know he seems like a cheap marketing tool to identify with younger kids, but he's still important to the story, as a fool and an innocent. Now, Lucas has never had real good creativity with species names/racial characteristics. Look back at the movies and the alien species names. They're really lame. But if they were fastidious about all that then it would be a lot more like Star Trek, which I've never been as big a fan of.

Now Ewoks.. yech. I agree, the Death Star II debris should have fallen on them and turned Endor into the biggest yub-yub pile in the galaxy. :D

I beleive thats correct, he looks stupid when holding three at once though:

But that is only from the animated series, not sure if he does that in the film.

Tue Jan 25, 2005 6:12 am

Yes. He does look stupid. I'm glad I didn't watch those little SW thingies on CN.

Tue Jan 25, 2005 11:44 am

would be cool if they make him hold 3 at once in the movie (though they should make it prettier then that)

i never watched those... i might buy them on DVD

Star Wars all the way

Personally, i think star wars is very intresting and original film. Really don't the sometimes cheezy props. The actors are not bad either. Natalie Portman kicks butt. Oh and the guy she married, {forgot his name} even though is a bad actor still doesn't ruin the movie.

I can't wait till the next one comes out. IT should be very very interesting!!!

Go Star Wars!!!!! 8)
