Neither, I'm far too young to.

I don't smoke because I am personally against it. I also don't drink because first of all I am underaged, secondly I am not interested in it, and thirdly it can cause harm. My friends talk about getting wasted and stuff but I just don't see the point of it.

Never done either.

Smoking is bad for your health and I don't want to do that to myself.

Drinking was something I hesitated on. I see no problem with the occasional glass of wine with your significant other, but alcohol runs in my family, so I wasn't sure I would be able to stop if I started. I was debating. Then I met my boyfriend. About 6 months in we were out in the brisk fall air and got some warm apple cider. He was totally unable to drink it until it cooled because it was the slightest bit fermented. He told me then that he can't stand the slightest bit at all. Soon after I decided that I would make the comittment not to touch alcohol. My reasoning was simple, the only reason I would have to drink would be to celebrate with my husband, but my future husband can't drink, so why risk it.

Side rant:

I don't understand people who do these things. I'm in college and I sat down next to some aquaintances for dinner tonight. They were talking and the conversation quickly turned to the frat party they were at last night. They were talking about how many times they puked or passed out and where and when it happened. They talked about when the cops showed up and how much they had drunk or smoked. Finally the conversation turned to what they were going to do tonight and they talked about going out and getting high before going out drinking in a couple hours. At that point, I picked up my food; citing homework, I returned to my room. People like them make no sense to me. One of them was kicked out of the dorms for more than a month last semester for smoking so much pot in her room that all her hallmates could smell it and were concerned about personally getting high off it. I just wish they could see the pain they are causing to themselves and others with such destructive behavior.

I don't do either and I'm not planning on doing either. :P

I've never done either. I don't know if that will always be the case with drinking - I mean, it is a social activity, but I wouldn't do it until I was legal. However, after seeing several adults (all parents) and the effects that alcoholism has put upon them, I have no desire to booze it up. Smoking I definitely wouldn't do; I hate the smell of cigarettes. Also, the people who block my way to school because they're on the sidewalk chain smoking annoy me greatly.

Lol, same here. I tasted a small sip of wine for Christmas and it tasted horrible. Sour and bitterish. I can't imagine how anyone could get hooked on that stuff. I also cannot imagine why anyone would like hangovers.

I have read a statement which aptly describes this sort of behaviour: Teen mentality defies all logic. Teens and young adults feel that they must experiment with all the wild things in life not sparing a thought for the consequences. Peer pressure is also one the big reasons for that, people want to fit in and look cool.

I don't drink or smoke.
Alcohol smells horrible, so I can only imagine the taste.
Smoking? No thank you. It's disgusting.

Neither for me, cigarrette smoke makes me feel queasy... O.o

Beer and alchohol also tastes bad. Bleh!

I don't smoke and I don't intend on starting - not only does is cigarette smoke disgusting-smelling and unhealthy, but also I'm afraid of fire - and I wouldn't know where to get them, anyways. :P

As for drinking - well, quite a lot of Jewish ceremonies (i.e. Passover) include wine in some form or another, so I do drink occasionally - but, seriously? It's Manishevitz - and occasionally watered down with sparkling apple cider. Not exactly the sort of thing you get totally wasted on - unless you're me, of course, and manage to get tipsy on half a cup. I don't really like the taste of wine or beer, but I do like some sweet liquers and such, just on top of desserts or whatever - I figure that when I'm legally old enough to drink, I'll probably do so occasionally, although not that often.

I don't do either. I've never smoked, never drunk once in my life. I don't plan on ever smoking, either, and if I ever drink anything it'll be when I'm 21 or older.

I don't smoke ... don't want to.

Drinking? Well, I'm under the drinking age, but last summer I finished a glass of wine for my aunt because her face was going completely red and I didn't think she could take any more. My face was fine :P But it tasted awful.

I've also taken a sip of beer. It's like pee

I never drink or smoke, never, NEVER, NEVER.

Drink is fine, I've been drinking for years and never gotten drunk once. I'll never smoke.

I think I already have semi-black lungs because wherever I go, the air is blue. :(

Beer, I think it is puke. I have also tried those Pot of Gold alchohol chocolate, oh man, the whiskey one is terrible. But the wine.....Ooh, man THAT was GOOD.

Beer causes liver damage, right?

Please don't say wine does......

I won't drink wine from bottles, maybe just the candies, because those are light wine chocolates.

I've tasted sherry before, it's okay.
