I avoid calling bands "punk" or "pop-punk" because everyone has different definations of "punk" and "pop-punk" and for the sake of Igg's pink hippos, its really not worth arguing about. Ditto with the 'sell-out' issue, honestly, who cares? If you like them, listen to them, if not, thats fine. No-ones putting a gun to your head about it.
How does one define sell-out anyway?

I wouldn't have really said Green Day could be related with "sk8er rock". Most people at my school think American Idiot is Green Day's first album. >_< Ah well. I guess both school are as bad as each other, eh?

Have you listened to the album at all?! The whole things politically orientated and anti-Bush save a couple.

Well said Nessa! I agree. The whole sell-out issue is silly and should be umm..put to rest. *nods*

You're just saying that because they're sell-outs.
Yes, American idiot is politically orientated, but it didn't have what I assume was the desired impact.

*screams* I hate the term 'sell-out'.
I don't think it made much of a difference, nope. Did it make any difference? Nope.
