The League Of Gentlemen is pure genius! It's comedy at it's best, and the characters are so brilliant (e.g. Pauline, Ross and Mickey, Tubbs and Edwards, The Dentons, Mrs Levinson, Mr Briss, Papa Lazarou etc.) and I can't wait for the new movie! And It has Papa Lazarou in it, so that's good by me!

The League of Gentlemen I love.
It is most unfortunate that a lot of it is far far FAR too familiar.

So she was born where it's set?
It doesn't make it more familiar to her than I, as the characters there are made up and don't actually exist. oit
You know the woman who trains people for getting jobs blah blah and there's the intelligent guy who has been to college and whatnot....and they have that horrible HORRIBLE cut I can't go into here 'cause it's not child friendly. HORRIBLE.
Ammer, The League of Gentlemen is an extremely dark British comedy.

You've never been to Appleby.
And the actual people in The League of Gentlemen do not exist. You know this very well. People much like them, I have no doubt of it.

No, its a British (?) comedy- albeit scary comedy (Papa Lazarou and all those rings are freaky:o). Nothing to do with the film 'The league of extraordinary gentlemen'.
One of the scenes were featured in '50 greatest Comedy Sketches 'recently (Top 20, maybe top ten -badmemory-)
You're my wife now
