The list goes on?

Here are a few games that I want,

Advance Wars DS
Animal Crossing (ONLINE!)
Another Code
Baten Kaitos DS
Boktai
Castlevania DS
Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent
Jam With The Band
Kirby
Legend of Zelda DS
Lost in Blue
Mario Kart DS
Mega Man Battle Network
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Super Mario Bros.
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Shin Megami Tensei DS
Snowboards Kids DS
Sonic DS
Super Princess Peach
Viewtiful Joe
Xenosaga

PM me if you want the full list of games coming out on DS. Right now, the PSP lineup is a TINY bit better than the DS's. But DS's future lineup blows the PSP out of the water.

Ohhhhhhh, a Kirby game AND a Viewtiful Joe! This is awesome.

Xbox secondary graphics? lol Have you seen anything on Xbox? (Halo 2 for example) It kicks the crap out of anything the Gamecube can put out.

Oh rbpnmn, I laugh that you say most PSP games are watered down ports, take a look at your list of DS games. :P

Tee hee, one of the kids in my class was playing PSP during chorus and he didn't get in trouble.

And just a note about the Gamecube; it still functions after being dropped from I think 30 ft, having a 10 lb weight dropped on it, and being hit with a sledge hammer. I think that counts for something. Neither Ps2 nor Xbox can survive that. :D *is a Nintendo loyalist*

But hey, this topic isn't about DS ;)

Honestly though, I would like to get a PSP (I have enough $$$) but the price of games drives me away. A lot of them are going to be $50 and the thing I have always loved about my GBA is that the games are only $30. That is why I have more GBA games than GC and PS2 games combined. *sigh* I hope the PSP doesn't win for three reasons.

1. Nintendo rocks and Sony sucks
2. I don't want $50 handheld games to become the norm.
3. I don't want handhelds to be filled with nothing but crummy ports of their console counterparts. *cough*nflstreet2unleashed*cough* And yes,
I know that the GBA was port city but I only owned two ports for it.

LOOK AT THOSE GRAPHICS, IT'S A WASTE. PSP is wonderful, it's your entertainment center away from home, only dumb gamers would settle for secondary graphics. Also all those games are somewhat kiddy, and are building on charictors from what the early 90'S. Also Sony can't suck, it's ruling the industry man. Plus there are expensive memory sticks because they vary in size so you can put music and video and such on them. Plus the list for PSP games has a bigger list then when DS came out man.

A true gamer would choose an exciting round of Hunt the Wumpux (spelling?) over Halo 2. By the way, HTW is a text game that's too SLOW for your Windows 98 with one byte of RAM. And it's certainly too slow for your PSP.

Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:37 am

When you use "true gamer" in any example or point, it's moot. -_-

Games ported from consoles.

Crash Tag Team Racing(I'm not sure if this is a port or not. They just announced it yesterday for GCN, PS2, Xbox, and DS.)
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent(They are adding some pretty good stuff to it)
Madden NFL 2005
Need for Speed Underground 2
Super Mario 64 DS (remake)
Ridge Racer
Rayman DS

Playstaion PORTable
Ape Escape: On the Loose
Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower
FIFA Soccer
Gran Turismo 4 Mobile
Gretzky NHL
Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition
MLB
MVP Baseball
NFL Street 2 Unleashed
Tales of Eternia
Tiger Woods PGA Tour
Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix
World Tour Soccer

A little more ports than I thought for DS but PSP still has more.

Do you even own a Gamecube? I have all 3 systems and that is what I think of them, based on what I played. You (correct me if I'm wrong) probably only have the Xbox, and therefore think it is the best. That's what I thought about PS2 back when I only had that, but now since I own all 3, my stance has changed. And, By the way, I do have Halo 2 and I think it is good. I am talking about all games on the system, not just Halo.

ports

Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:00 pm

Uh, sir michael. I think those are new games, not ports. Have you ever seen a Mario Kart game that was just a port?
Although looking at that one Yoshi Circuit screen shot might lead you to believe it's a port.

I'm not sure of some of those, but I'm pretty sure most of them are new games.

Okay then. Gamer worth my time to argue with.

(Hey! All the PSPeople and Xbox robots should thank me for that mass compliment!)

It still doesn't subtract from my point that graphics don't matter, anyway.

graphics

Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:45 pm

Yeah. Graphics don't really matter much if the game is great enough otherwise. There have been some great games with graphics that aren't exactly top-of-the-line.
(Of course this is all opinion. Different people like different kind of games.)

Animal Crossing- DEFINITELT not a port. IT HAS ONLINE!
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Again nothing know. Most likely not a port.
Metroid Prime: Hunters; Definitely not a port
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory- You got me there. Although the DS version will likely be an update of the N-gage game which is apparently quite good. Shocking isn't? A GOOD N-GAGE GAME!
Mario Kart DS- Definitely not a port.

And tested, it's not PSPeople and Xbox robots, it's PSTools and Xbots. *in robot voice* I AM NINTENDRONE# 5425185188648. I serve the almight Mr. Iwata.

Oh? There's a real name for them? I just made something up on the spot.

And anyone who thinks the new Metroid game is a port should go play Piglet's Big Game.
