Seriously, after it rains I'll just go outside and inhale. Everyone looks at me funny, but... :P

I love how we all love the smells of things we shouldn't be sniffing anyway, like Sharpies and petrol XD

I like..

Petrol
Honeysuckle
The smell, not just after, but during a really heavy rainstorm (particularly in summer).
Chlorine
Brand new rubbery-plastic-vinyl stuff, like jelly bracelets, inflatable toys, etc.
Fresh laundry
Baby powder
The smell of the air outside when it's reallllly cold.
Citrus fruits, especially limes.
Pot roast, mmmm. (we had it on Easter, and I could smell it cooking all the way outside)

oooh I forgot bleach and chlorine

Creosote, and freshly mown grass. Mmmmm!

You know when people start creosoting their fences and mowing their lawns summer is on its way.

Also: Diesel, Contact Adhesive (Evo-stick), pavements in the rain after it's been dry for ages, new stuff that's made with PVC.

I like:
Fresh cut grass
the air before, during & after the rain
the odor of my puppy
the scent of my babies after I used a specific shampoo on them
sugar cookies baking
the smell of pine in crisp snowy air (usually means Christmas)
a shoe store (that leathery smell)
a horse stable (there's that leather again!)
and finally,

the fresh, wet, smell that my hubby has when he first gets out of the shower and then puts on his deoderant (blush - Old English LEATHER scent). I love to hug him and just breeeeeath him in. (Yeah, I'm a sap but I love him so! <3 )

Hmm...

Baked goods
Fresh air, usually after rain
Just-ironed clothes
Air sanitising spray
Glade plugins- I've got a mandarin orange/green tea one right now
Melting chocolate and other rich stuff
Fruits, on the other end of the spectrum

And one more, which I don't believe anyone has said...flowers. O_o Just not too strong.

Soap
After it rains
Wood
Strawberry chapstick
A new book
Fog
Sometimes the ground on a hot day, like when there is all that dust in the air, I don't know why, but I like how it smells

Yes, I'm wierd

Oooo, I forgot the smell before it rains... I can always tell when there's gonna be a thunderstorm because of the smell.

Oh, and I love the fresh pine smell of a Christmas tree. But I hate coldness (which is coming.... brrrr, I hate winter!)

Tue Apr 12, 2005 10:24 am

Oh god! I almost forgot. I love the smell of leather. I've always said that I'd be able to give up meat before I could give up leather.
...I like to chew on leather too, but that's another story..

All these scents reminds me of the time I found a candle shop that sold candles of all sorts of outlandish scents. One of them smelled like smoke. Bit redundant, but not really. My friends and I walked around the shop smelling all of the candles and making faces.

Yeah. Fresh cut grass too. Mm.

The smell of a new book. The smell of fresh mint (especially in shampoos and liquid soap). The smell of tasty foods (this actually covers many things ;)).

And if you like petrol and chlorine, make sure you don't sniff it excessively (if at all). They can be classified as inhalant drugs.
