I suppose the surgery may be preformed differently. Mums was a little below her belly button.

I'm happy for you, Zega. I'll celebrate with orangade and pizza with corn on it. Lets hope your mother is set. I hope she gets in good shape soon as she recovers.

My guess is that each doctor/hospital does it a little differently. Either that or because mine took so darned long to heal, all doctors decided to do it differently after that point in time.
Nothing like a gaping hole in your belly button. Though, I must say, no scars are visible. I know they are there and can see them. But, anyone else having a look at my belly button would not be able to tell (not that I get too many people looking at my belly button, mind you?)
