The original U2, the U2 that's still mentioned in American history text books, they were cool.

The new U2, the modern day Bono, the Spanish-illiterate U2, I hate them too.

Why?

I think they are by far better than 90% of the nominees.

Overblown, overrated.

Pretty mediocre band, imo.

(This is Josephine, btw. I signed in on the wrong bloody account.)

Jo's already posted, but er...because she doesn't like them. Much like myself. It's one of the few music things we agree on.

Here's my take on The Killers. As soon as their CD was released, I bought it, and thought it was pretty good. But then American radio decided to kill them by playing their 2 single releases, oh, every 2 minutes or so, until I so tired of hearing the songs that I'd actually change the station to listen to "fiddy cent" instead. *goes off to cry a little*

And then I saw them sing live on SNL, and discovered that the lead singers live performance skills leaves much to be desired. They are getting better though. So...

The CD: was good. Give me another year before I listen to it again.
The Killers live: is kinda like Avril live. Pitchy, out of tune at places, but it's improving.
Should they win?: It's a toss-up. It's not like they're winning a Grammy, so either way is ok.
