PG-13 won't do anything to stop little kids, considering they normally go with their parents anyway. it does show how the movie will be, if you remember the very lax rating of PG-13 for American Pie

American Pie was 13? Wow. Is there any kissing in this film? I can't remember any in the book.

I honestly don't remember much about the fourth book at all. I only remember insignificant details (like Rita Skeeter, Harry and Cho Chang, Hermione and Victor Krum, etc.) and some of the plot, but not other parts. Someone enlighten me? However, if THIS movie is going to be rated PG-13, what will happen with the 6th movie?

I can't imagine a Harry Potter movie ever being rated R though. That would be funny, why would it be R? Harry Potter would have to be like a serial killer or something XD. Plus...they still have to appeal to kids >_<.

Hopefully parents will think twice before bringing their annoying loudmouthed little brats into the theaters. "Mommy....what is Harry going to do to the big bad scary dragon?"

Frightening images? Of what, a monster that doesn't exist? Fantasy violence? What the heck?

Of course, if Chris Columbus was still the director, I doubt it would be PG-13 because he made the first two movies so "Disney-ish," and somewhat child-friendly.

yeah. LOTR got a PG-13.
whos afraid of the hideously tortured half-breeds known as orcs, or a massive daemon of shadow and fire.
oh. right.

that is Fantasy violence.
the scary things that go bump in the night.
(that. and maybe the legions of a dark lord who wear half-skull masks, and torture everyone that opposes them. prehaps?)

PG-13 Big deal, not suprise there.
I doubt it will stop anyone under 13 from seeing it somehow.

Oh no of course not. Older friends bring them in, parents, sneaking in, the people just not caring who they let in...
Anyway, I'm glad it's PG-13, even though the movies are still terrible. At least it won't be kid-ified to the point of no return.

Snigger, sniggle, teehee-ha. Point of No Return is hardly kid-ified!

Couldn't resist.

I am so glad it's PG-13. I hated that kid who, when we we were listening to GOF on tape, kept on with the stupid questions when we were trying to listen to the Graveyard scene...

"Wandering child, so lost, so h--"

Wrong Graveyard Scene.
"What's 'retched' mean?"

"Threw up."

"Why was Harry throwing up?"

"Because Cedric died."

"Why did Cedric die?"

"Because Voldemort killed him."

"Why did Voldemort kill him?"

"Uh, because he's evil?"

"Why was Voldemort evil?"

"..."

"..."

"Uhhh.. I dunno, maybe he had a rough childhood?"

"Why did--"

"Oh, look kid! It's your house! Seeya!"

That was pure torment.

:roflol: ha ha ha, sorry- couldn't resist. "why is voldemort evil?" tee hee.

I'll have to ask my sister that one... o_O
I also think it would be hilarious if HP was rated R- I am easily amused, as you can probably tell.

Hehe...I'm such a loser, I wrote about what it would take to make it be rated R in my lj.

"Harry Potter would be a serial killer, Ron Weasley would be a drug addict, *insert other inappropriate things I put*"

A little bit off-topic, but The Order of The Phoenix is coming out in 2007-according to imdb.

Its probably all because of the end of the book.... I wont say it incase somebody here STILL hasnt read it..... but because of the place Harry goes, the certain person he sees, who does that bad thing to that one kid. Yeah. That will probably have alot to do with it.

EDIT: oh..... i just read some of the other posts.... i see other people didnt take precautionary measures like me. oh well. you guys know who im talking about. If not, ^^^^^^^

Yeah I it will be that, although I don't think it will be shown in much detail.
It's not gonna be dragons or kissing "rolls eyes"
