But with special powers, I just realised how badly I would NOT want to know what people think of me, or have the ability to read people's minds. I live a perfectly fine life believing that my poor jokes are funny, and that I have a witty sense of humour and a quick mouth, and that I don't have any real enemies. Being able to read minds would take away that illusion

Hmm... many interesting ideas =D. I thought of telekenesis too, but it didn't really appeal to me... controlling light is so much cooler, I think.

I wouldn't want to have invisibility... what's fun when no one can see you? XD I'd feel more ignored than ever. I wouldn't want time control either... too confusing. And reading minds would get boring after a while.

I like Mazil's idea of shapeshifting, however, it sounds so cool. Healing could be great, too.

Forgot to mention shapeshifting as a close second, in case, y'know, the whole telekinesis thing doesn't work out.

Oh! And time-traveling as a close third. Imagine being able to travel to the middle ages, rectify any mistakes you make, etc. You could have fun all day kicking someone you don't like in the face and then turning back time so you don't get in trouble for it!

I wouldn't like time travel all too much to be honest Knowing me, I'd probably go back to the primordial years and stuff something up so that humanity never existed, thus not allowing me to do what I did, creating a paradox that would eventually cause the universe to explode in a puff of logic.

Nah, freezing time would be good enough for me, although pulling the pants off unsuspecting business-people would eventually get stale I guess.
