The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Yes. It's the Bobby Jon and Stephanie Variety Hour. Blah.
But the rest of the episode was good. That Immunity Challenge was brutal. x.x

But it was only guys on the one team who really went down sick. Makes me think they were all being way too male and not drinking enough.
I heard Probst said that they tried to make this one tougher because everyone said they'd been going easy on the past couple survivors. *shrug*

Well if that's the case... they've certainly done their job this time around.
That eye-rolling back thing was REALLY creepy. o.o; Yowzas.
Had to be happy to see Stephenie not go to a tribal council for once.

Poor girl. Probably did some voting anyhow in the camp out of habit >D
Wootah. New season begins.

I'm not sure if it was all about Steph & BobbyJon as it was about NurseLady Margaret. If this level of intensity keeps up, she might get the most camera time just dealing with the fainters.
Go local lady! woohoo!

Tough break for Nakum, even though they got the better camp, Yaxah is most definately in better condition.
I think a lot of bringing Stephanie and Bobby Jon back was for ratings. Everyone liked Stephanie last game, everyone likes an underdog. Bringing back two popular castaways from the previous season was nice, giving them a second chance. I doubt either will make it to the final episodes, though.
Next episode: Mmm, ants...

I don't think it's the BobbyJon and Steph show... It's just the Steph show.. Bobby just so happened to get really sick so that got him some airtime

I hope it's not like this all season though... Even though they're both cool.. I wanna get to know some of the other people.. like the ex-football player guy.
That nurse lady was pretty cool so far... Hopefully she doesn't turn out to be another Maggie (BB).....
Cheer for the good guy and then they end up being a total butthead.
And as for the guys getting sick in Nakum.. well.. Probst did tell them to pace themselves. And with the way Bobbyjon was last season.. it's not surprising he went down that hard. He's definetly an overachiever.

I liked Margie (My nickname for her now), she was really nice and a very good asset to have on the team.
As for Bobby Jon, didn't his eyes rolling back seem a bit...well excorcist-y? I was like "He's possessed by the Mayan spirits!".
And I am cheering for Stephenie's team, she's awesome, this is her first time not going to a tribal council!

I also really like Stephanie. Bobby John scared me half to death, the rolling eye things was real spooky.
I do like the nurse, but Maggie has made me afraid of nurses.

Am I the only one who thinks its horrible that Steph and Bobby John are back? How unfair is that? They have had their chance, and they have now taken two other peoples spots. I mean Steph is my favourite, but I still think she shouldn't be back on. Just me though.
Anyway, a good first episode. Felt sorry for Jim, but I knew it was happening.

One word Robert, ratings.

Oh I know that. I'm just saying that I don't think its fair. But is it going to stop me from watching? No. Is it going to bring more people in to watch? Yes. Does Mark Burnett really need that 3rd swimming pool? No. Will he get it anyway? Probably

Well.... Ya know.. I'm not really cheering for either team over the other right now b/c I don't really hate anyone yet.
Was pretty frustrating when that one guy was just too exhausted to climb back up the ladder during the reward challenge.
If he just hadn't messed up so badly they could've won it.
But I guess the other team needed it more since their guys were in pretty bad shape.
Also thought it was hilarious when Gary? (the NFL guy) was called out by the woman on the other tribe. Kinda curious that she would talk with the other team guy though during the challenge.
Also frustrating as all get out during the immunity comp. UGH what was that one guy thinking to get up?? He was winning over the other guy and then he does something stupid like get up!! AND THEN HE GOES AGAIN!! And freakin relaxes when he shouldn't. Good lord that was just dumb.

I know, I'm not really pushing for either tribe or a specific person yet. I like people on both sides, so we'll see.
I will say that I'm glad they voted Morgan out and not Lydia. I don't see how you could watch even one season of that show, become a castaway, and not know that lazing around camp puts a big fat target on your back. Honestly.

I know, especially the look on his face when she said it.
I do wish that he hadn't lied about it afterwards. It was unnecessary (as I don't think anyone will care at this point if he was a pro quarterback 15 years ago) and it's probably going to come back around and bite him in the butt later.
Fri Sep 23, 2005 8:28 pm
I'm happy too they didn't vote out Lydia, she did more than Morgan did, it was a stupid decision to even consider her to be voted out because she looks old. And that nerdy guy did help her so props to him!
As for the NFL dude, he should've come out and said it. I mean, no point in lying. What if she makes it to the merge with you, she'll throw all your facts in your face.
Fri Sep 23, 2005 8:36 pm
Yah.. he should've fessed up to it when it was brought up again.
I'm sure they would've understood why he lied to begin with and just forgotten about it.
Actually maybe even think of him as more of an asset. Big strong exfootball player could do well in challenges.. ya know.
