I really really really hope Keith Richards shows up in one. I think I read an interview in Q where he seemed quite keen.

Bad news, folks... I just read a new bit of news. Apparently Richards is going to be on tour during filming, which would make it quite difficult for him to film his part. It's not looking good...

I loved the first one, but I don't have faith in any sequels Disney makes. They usually end up disasterous. But, I think I'll still try to see the second in theaters, and if I like it I'll see the third.

Personally, my fave parts are when Jack is hanging over the fire and he tries to blow the flames out and also when Will says "I can't leave without Jack!" and then it cuts to a shot of Jack being chased by all those savages or whatever they are and screaming. Then Will says, "Never mind, let's go!"

I haven't seen this clip, so I don't know what it looks like, but all I can imagine is the seen from Return of the Jedi where Han is trying to blow out the fire before the Ewoks "cook" him.

Didn't they film PotC 2 and 3 at around the same time? I'm sure that's what I heard.

Personally - I think it looks fantastic and it comes out the day after my bday so I'm excited to see it

"Pirates" 2 and 3 are shooting back-to-back, with production scheduled through January. The trade says the shoot is currently in a scheduled hiatus so director Gore Verbinski can ready portions of "Pirates 2," formally monikered Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, for post-production, with an eye toward a July 2006 release. Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is scheduled for summer 2007.
Shooting stopped June 10 and will resume in mid-August in Los Angeles, shifting back to Caribbean locations later in the year.

Haha, I saw the trailer when I went and watched Narnia. You should have heard the girls squeal in the audiance.
Now, I don't like Orlando Bloom (little acting talent at all), and I don't like Johnny Depp really, but I have to admit he was brilliant in PotC. I wasn't to impressed when I first saw previews for PotC 1, but I'm looking forward to seeing 2 and 3, just for the fun. PotC isn't exactly a movie you watch to stimulate the brain.
