Emra jingled the little bell outside of the silk and canopy room, of Althea's. There was no wooden door she could find to knock on, so the bells served just fine. Emra felt ready to go on the journey to the council. She was all packed, and Althea; she realized, would make the journey much more enjoyable.

_________

Griyye slowly crawled out from the air pockets, swimming up to the bright surface. Shielding their eye's they crawled out, growling things at each other. It was almost time.

((Apologies for short post, and not repsponding quickly!))

[Well, I'm posting a proper RP post. -le gasp- Last time I properly posted was around page seven, I think.

Here goes...]

Saria pushed the grass apart, but saw nothing. Wolf had stopped growling now, and Saria sighed, patting Wolf's head. "It's all right, Wolf," she whispered softly. "There's nothing there."

She turned and walked back towards Aksul, who was standing patiently, waiting. She mounted Aksul carefully and patted his neck, calming him.

She looked at Wolf and smiled. "Come on, Wolf, you old thing," she said, almost laughing, and Wolf barked indignantly back at her.

She squeezed Aksul's sides with her legs, and the horse began to move. First walking, and then he began to trot. Finally he began to canter, Wolf running alongside, panting, glad of the exercise.

[Could I ask where Returana is in relation to Saria's current position, and how long it will take her by horse? She just left Amethyst. Thanks! :)]

---

[Also, ria, I hope you remember that David is there, so don't jump too far ahead of him. Pleeeeeeeease?! Now he can't do anything. >_O]

Jugtra had been chirping angrily at Fenrir, the black wolf, all throughout the speech, while David held his sword ready in his (still wounded) arm, ready to protect Meret.

When he left, there was a collective silence. David felt that none of them needed to speak. It was obvious that Emerald, and Meret, would never surrender to this wolf, and certainly not if all the inhabitants were to become like the boy.

David chanced a glance over at Arelore. If anything, another one of Meret's bodyguards would guide Meret in this difficult time. David would always stand behind Meret, and certainly in front if he was to sustain a wound - or even death - for Meret.

['Cause I'm leaving, on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again...

... sorry.]

Zach

Zach’s body was limp and strangely positioned on the floor of his, now empty, house.

‘Stand up!’ came the familiar high pitched voice that he couldn’t help but obey.
His body began to unfurl and stand up.

‘It is time. You must ask to be transferred to the new mines. There we will begin to carry out the new plan.’

Nearby a hooded figure laughed a high pitched laugh to herself.

Bella

‘What am I going to do?’ Bella asked herself. ‘I can’t have a baby! How would it turn out? It could look like anything! Imagine what Anka would think if it had Purple Hair! And then what would Pyrona do? She’d kill me! That’s what!’

Bella’s head started to hurt. She could see no way to get through this without something bad happening.

Her eyes flashed red and a chest of drawers nearby blew up. She looked up and smiled. She walked to a nearby mirror. The reflection was pacing up and down while she was quite still. The Bella in the mirror looked up and screamed. But the Bella outside of the mirror smiled and simply said:
“Hello, Mummy.”

Anka

Anka sat on the boat, now on its way to Returana.

He smiled to himself. He had wanted a baby for a while now but Bella had seemed reluctant. He was too happy for words. Him a father! This was definitely the greatest day of his life.

“Sire,” came the voice of the servant boy. “I have some… uhhh… news…”
“News from home? Already?” he asked, looking puzzled.
“No sire… It’s Sierra.”
”Damn woman… What does she want now? Wanting to hand in a resignation again?”
“No sire… She’s on board”

The top deck heard a roar of anger from the deck below.
“THAT WOMAN!”

((This first paragraph shall be the previous day to give Sierra a little back story to going on the boat, while the other paragraphs will be the day when the boat leaves. And why she got the letter too? Who knows. =]))

Sierra quickly slit open the envelopes, and pulled each letter out. Her finger ran over the delicately penned words. As she read the date at the top, she flushed with anger. "So the council has been keeping things from me. Do they not think I am responsible enough? Then why did they put me in this position?" she scowled, pacing around the room to find whatever she'd need for Returana, and the journey there.
---
Early the next morning, Sierra stole away from the caves, and to the docks, where the king would be boarding a ship to Returana. When she spotted the ship, she strided over, jabbing a finger at the insignia sewn onto her robe when the sailors tried to stop her, and strolled on board.

As the ship set sail, Sierra made her way to the galley to make herself a beverage that would help her sea-sickness, brushing past a servant boy on the way. He looked quite puzzled as she strolled past, then scurried of to tell the king what he saw. Sierra, glass of a thick-looking beverage in hand, smirked with satisfaction as a yell from King Anka himself rang in her ears.

((Loving reading the stories build up. ))

Zue stood silentfull, looking over the neverending dunes of the desert. She had taken place in one of the highest towers of a fort guarding the surrounding area.

Again and again, her plans had been foiled. Merle wasn't listening anymore. His sister (Zue refused to call her daughter.. subconsciously) was running amok ever more. And the rogues weren't doing a too brillant job either.

Shortly, things weren't going well.

Her train of thoughts came to a halt. The two ravens swooped in. Their eyes shining.

"They are leaving," Ernandir croaked.

"It's because you hesitated," the other raven said.

"There is no time anymore, if the other kingdoms will try to take us over if they see him!"

"Us?!" Zue looked at Ernandir. But the bird silenced.

She turned back to the window, "so they have left to Returnata?"

"Do not worry, I will concentrate on this personally."

Tirithral
Serenity had slipped through his fingers. He mentally cursed himelf. Things like this were not meant to happen!
Luckily he had taken control of the situation, by sending his four helpers out to find her. He knew she would no get far.
"Good luck little princess. Do not think that you will survive this... ordeal," he smiled to himself.
After all, he had a right to be angry with her.
Had she not fled Diamond, leaving Tirithral to deal with her problems?
Was she not the reason that the council were blaming him for the situation that Diamond was in, without a ruler?
Had he not always treated her with kindness, only for her to return it with contempt?
Yes, Serenity truly deserved what was coming to her.
There was a knock at the door. Upon opening it he saw that one of the palace guards had fetched Serenity's maid, Usnami, as he had asked. Tirithral thanked the man and turned to the girl who was glaring at him. It was from her that he hoped to get some answers.
Serenity would pay for her crimes.

((I just wanted to say that I am going away on camp so I will not be here for a little while.))

[I'm home!]

Althea walked through the palace beside Emra, with Dev trailing behind them, while she asked a few questions.

'How will we be getting there?'

'How long is the journey?'

'How long does the council meeting last?'

'Where are we staying, again?'

Zach

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T GO?”

Zach stood in front of the head of Transfers looking very angry.
“The king left for Returana this morning Zach. We don’t have the permission.” he told Zach looking sympathetic, “Plus in your state you can’t be making brash decisions like this.”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN IN MY STATE?” roared Zach.
“With your parents death and the cave in… you’re not in the right mind Zach…”
“What about the Queen? Can’t she authorise it?”
“I suppose she could. But Zach, this is not the right decision. Take the week off. Grieve for your parents.”
“NO! I need to work…it… it keeps me sane.”
“But Zach, your powers haven’t even returned yet. What use would you be?”
I can move the boulders! Like I’ve been doing here!”

They both stared at each other for a moment.
“Please sir. I need this.” The man looked him up and down.
“I’ll see what I can do Kid…”

Bella

The Bella in the mirror stared into the eyes of her own body. Fear surged through her.
What was going on? Mummy?
“Thank you for lending me your body mother.”
“… What … N-n-no! It can’t be!”
“Your worst fears came to pass I see. I am a demon, stronger than even Pyrona.”

Bella wept in the mirror.
“No! It’s not true! I’m dreaming!” she screamed. The child just laughed.
“This is all a nightmare!”
“I assure you mother, it is very real.” Bella’s face smiled. It was a smile unlike her usual one.

A young servant boy came into the room he was out of breath. Bella quickly turned towards the Boy.
“My Queen there are some duties which you must perform today. You are needed downstairs.”
“HELP ME!” screamed Bella.
“I will be down soon. Leave me.”
The servant left.

The Bella in the mirror had calmed down a fair bit by now, though she was still wiping the tears from her face.
“Only I can see or hear you Mother. Stop trying. It is tiring me.”
“I just want to know one thing.”
“What is that?”
“Are you a girl… or a boy?” She asked, welling up again.
“Such a Rubian thing to want to know Mother… But I am a Girl. Goodnight mother.”

Bella Blacked out and woke up to find herself surrounded by doctors and servants.

“What… happened?”

Anka

Enraged, Anka upturned his desk.

“I WILL HAVE HER EXECUTED! HOW DARE SHE!” He roared at the frightened servant.
“My King she insisted! She barged past the guards and as the Leader of the High council we thought that she was invited.”
“Barge past did she? Wretched woman. Her father was a much better leader… I’m going to have a word with her.”
“Sire! Don’t you think that would be unwise? Your Relations with the council aren’t too good right now. Your… uh… Word… with her… would not make them any better.” he advised cautiously.

Anka laughed.
“I do not care any more. This woman has meddled one time too many.”
With that Anka started to climb the stairs.
“SIRE NO!”
“I order you to be quiet and stay there!” The servant obeyed but looked panicked. What was he going to do?

Anka rose to the deck smiling silently. He grabbed the nearest servant to him.
“Where’s Sierra?”
“I-i-in the Galley Sire…”
“Good.”

He made his way down to the Galley where he spotted the ‘wretched woman’ with her back to him. She was drinking that thick liquid she always did on boats.
Just the thought of her being there, on Anka’s own ship, angered him.

He focused upon the Glass in her hand. It exploded away from her and hit a nearby wall. The liquid inside fell straight onto Sierra.

“WELCOME TO MY SHIP SIERRA!”

((Hey! This is Ali, and I've been approved to play as a side character. I haven't RPed in ages, so please excuse me if I'm a bit rusty. I'm looking forward to playing in this RP.

Name: Alia Viracenda

Age: 12

Kingdom: Diamond

Position in Kingdom: Servant

Appearance: Alia looks rather like a patchwork quilt. She has the long hair, pale skin, and wings of her people. But the hair is somewhat like straw, and a dull dark brown. Her light blue eyes clash considerably with her hair. She is fairly tall for her age (at the moment 5'2 and growing like a weed). She wears fairly simple, yet elegant, gowns of fabrics such as silk and velvet, with the servants crest of a Diamond and Wings on the left breast.

Personality: (Please include strengths and weaknesses)Alia is the ideal servant. She is timid, meek, gentle, and wanting nothing more then to please. Alia is also very skilled in music, flower arrangement, and cosmetic things(Hair arrangement and the like). However, she had no formal education, is fairly slow, and is somewhat ignorant. She is rather un-confident and believes she is not worthy of the chance she has been give at life.
She is very superstitious and devoutly religious, attending every service with out fail, believing in every word.
Alia sufferers from obsessive fears. They range from falling down the stairs to the world below. Terrified by the idea of the world below, she avoids any contact with it. Not having any formal education, she only knows the scary stories told to children and what is said in the temple, about the demonic, twisted, and cruel demons living below.
However, is also extremely loyal to the Crown Princess, and looks up to her. The Princess's new actions have caused a considerable amount of frustration and confusion on Alia's part.

Weapons: (If your characters use them) Well, I suppose Alia could bop someone over the head with a hair brush if she had one on hand, but she doesn't carry weapon's and doesn't know how to use them, either.

History: Long ago, the Viracenda family was a small, poor, but noble family, infamous for marrying people from other lands. When the people of Diamond escaped to the skies, the family was declared impure and had their lands and titles taken away. Since then they have lived as ordinary people, and slowly, the story of their family became a legend, then just a story, and then all but disappeared, known only by the eldest of the people.

Many generations later, Alia was taken by the government from her home with her parents in their tailor shop to be trained as a maid servant for noble ladies after showing talent in lady-like areas. Having finished her training, is now working at the palace, bringing bathwater, brushing hair, and helping entertain and wait on guests. She does not know the Crown Princess very well, and is often to quite in her presence to barely manage a "yes" or "no."

Note: -Diamond Dust-. O.K, now the real stuff. Even when the Viracenda's had a title, it was that and not much else. They were pretty small and poor for nobles, more like average people. And Alia has no chance at anything royal, as they were stripped off their titles. However, this could be valuable info on her, and could even be used as black mail if a character finds out. I'm sure some people know(just PM me if you want to use the idea for an O.K. I've got no real plans for her, so PM me if you have any ideas. She's also easily munipulated, being young and fairly slow.

Edit: I've got a post now!))

Alia was praying at the altar.

The readings dictated to say prayers once in the morning, once at midday, and once in the evening. Alia always followed the rules. She was a good servant of Anaedaan, and in time she would have her reward, she always told herself.

She prayed for many people. She prayed for the other servants, for her family, though she did not see them often, and for the charming and handsome man Tirithral, who was looking for the princess, some said.

And then, low enough so she thought people could not hear it, "Serenity."

Every since the Princess had gone missing, panic was everywhere. The council had met for days. When they emerged, they declared that the princess must be hiding in the lower regions of Diamond, and they would root her out. No word of ruling at be said to anyone, but the servants were abuzz with thousands of tales. Some said that Tirithral was ruling, as he was soon to be king, others the council.

The servants has other tales, too. Despite what the council had said, it had been days and they still could not find her. Many said that she has ran to world below, away from Diamond.

Alia would not believe it. Everyone knew that those who entered the world below would be forever cursed. That couldn't happen to Serenity, it just couldn't!

However, as the days went on, Alia became more afraid. That girl, Usami, had already cursed the castle with her presence. The older servants told her that ever since the Princess was little, she had been listening to storys of Usami's world. Alia had heard small bits of these storys, that told of a land called Zircon. Though Usami told of it's strange beauty and with longing, Alia thought, no, she knew, she was talking of the deepest depths of hell.

She grew worried, that perhaps, Usami had convinced the Princess to descend, to curse Diamond, perhaps.

But why had the Princess left? Alia had told her self that it was fear of marrying so young. Yes, it had to be. No matter how charming or handsome Tirithal was, he was much older than Serenity, and Serenity was very young. Anyone should be scared.

She rose from altar and walked from the temple with the others. As she passed the palace gate, she noticed the bodies from last nights riot had been removed. People had become worried and frustrated by Serenity's absence, and had come to the gates. They had accused the council of murdering her, and even saying that Tirithal and Usami had used black magic to control her. They had been fired by the guards with arrows. Five had been killed. Alia did not see it, but she saw the carnage. One of them was a boy, not much older that her, whose mother had been crying over him. He had light hair, like Serenity. The more she passed him, the more of Serenity she saw.

Every day, she grew more and more afraid. Afraid for Serenity, afraid of the fights, afraid of Usami. But nothing, nothing, could stop the fear of falling.

((So, yeah. That's Alia. She is one confused little girl. No offence ment to Lillie by the Zircon comment.))

[No offence taken, of course. :)]

Dev was trailing behind Althea and Emra. He was feeling both very smart and very awkward, having been fitted out in a bodyguard's uniform early that morning. He was now neatly dressed in the lightweight style of a Sapphirean guard, except he was wearing the Zirconian colours of blue and white. A slender silver sword was strapped to his side, sheathed in fine leather. After his unsuccessful research in the library yesterday, he had gone to a swordsmaster to take his first lesson in swordsmanship.

Needless to say, he was no good with a sword and it was impossible for him to master anything within a few hours. However, the swordsmaster had promised to teach him in Returana and Dev hoped he would be able to protect the Lady if necessary.

The Lady, meanwhile, seemed to be plying Emra with questions about their journey to Returana. Dev only caught a few words here and there and they seemed to be very normal questions. He wondered if the Lady was feeling normal, though.

In the library the previous day, he had searched for answers as to why the island might be sinking. Althea had joined him not long after he had begun and they had looked high and low in silence, both praying they would stumble upon something - anything - that might prove useful. Why they thought two Zirconians who knew little about library systems should find the answers when the best court officials in Sapphire could not was beyond him.

Eventually, Althea had told Dev to go and pack his luggage and rest. She was adament for him to leave and said she herself would follow him later.

When he had returned from his swordsmanship lessons a few hours later, she was still looking for the answers with a lamp burning beside her. Suddenly, she dropped the book she was holding and buried her face into her hands. Her body shook with silent sobs as she cried in despair.

He had left her alone, feeling she would not want anyone to intrude on her at that moment.

Now she was asking questions as normally and seriously as might be expected, but he wondered what she was really thinking.

Location: PinkPT. Except when I'm not on PinkPT. No, wait. I'm confused.

She was falling.

Diamond was above her, and the clouds flew beside her. Ladder-like stairs went down from Diamond, sometimes making a sharp turn. She was above water, but clouds covered most of her view.

Her wings! She tried to fly, a task as simple as walking. But they wouldn't move. It was as they weren't there. She felt her back. They weren't there! There weren't even stumps. Nothing remained of them.

Water rushed at her now, but not just a little. Water was everywhere, she couldn't see anything else. Water was the murder of her people. One who fell in water would die. And now she was about to.

She opened her mouth to scream, but no air came in.

"Alia! Alia! Wake up! It's time for serving!"

Urtai, a dreamy seamstress, stood above her. Alia had laid down when she got back to the palace, and must of fallen asleep.

"No one else would wait for you! They said to let you sleep." Urtai said, as she offered a hand to help Alia up. "But I knew that you don't like missing work. Your to serve the at the higher table at supper, again. That Tirithral won't but there tonight, though. Oh, Alia, you've served him at the table! Tell me how he looks up close!"

Alia just nodded at she got up. "You've helped sew his robes, Urtai. That is a much higher honor."

Alia could not understand how Urtai could think of such things when Serenity was missing. Tirithral was kind and charming, and no one could deny he was handsome. But Serenity would make a much better ruler.

Serenity was perfect in every way, at least according to Alia. She was kind, beautiful, and was passionate. Alia was sure that she would protect the kingdom, and her rule would be recorded down in history, and her name would be on everyone's lips for years.

But she had also done something forbidden. She has contacted the land below, and the lead demons among them. She must of been being controlled by something, or tricked.

As they passed Usnami's bed, Alia drew a five-pointed diamond on her chest, to ward off evil. Urtai stopped talking about Tirithral long enough to talk about Usnami.

"I haven't seen Usnami all day!" she said. " The last few days she's been in the Royal Chambers, keeping things tidy, but she wasn't anywhere to be found today! We had a new dress for her, some of hers were getting old, nothing fancy."

This caught Alia's interest. Had the council finally rid the castle of her? No, she knew to much about Diamond to be let go. No, she must be at work with demonic things. Alia decided to say an extra prayer at the servants Altar tonight, if not to protect Serenity from evil, then to protect her self.

((I hope no one minds my use of Urtai, or the mention of the dress. I wanted to make more connections to Rachel's descriptions of Diamond. If it bothers anyone, just PM me and I'll change it.))

((Phew, well I haven't posted in a while, both Rachel and I have been rather busy. So I thought I'd post a bit more for Emerald. And kuroro, you'll have to wait a little longer before posting about Returana I'm afraid, Rachel and I have been planning our arrival there, and I promise that we'll post about it soon.))

The chink of curtain rings and stream of early morning light were the first signs of consciousness this morning. Meret yawned loudly, poking her tongue out to taste the fresh air as she did so. Blinking open her forest green eyes the Empress was aware of her two bodyguards standing in front of the window with their backs to her. Taking a deep breath she sat up, her soft silk sheets pooling around her waist as she did so. She stretched again, trying to remove a kink from her sore neck. Ruti stirred from his place next to her and he yawned loudly, revealing his impressive set of sharp white teeth.

Arelore was the first to turn around, she and David had stood in companionable silence after they had arrived to wake the Empress up. But the young berserker was tired of the silence. "The bags are being checked over again your Highness. After we have some breakfast we'll be able to head down to the docks."

Meret nodded thoughtfully, "Okay then. I'll get dressed and meet you down in the dining hall."

((*yawn* Well I accidentally took drowsy rather than non-drowsy flu tablets, so I'll be out for a few hours. ))

[I was wondering if anyone could answer my question. >_o Thanks again? =P

Oh, and, Aliii!]

David turned a second after Arelore, seeing her turn first. It always seemed like a competition for Meret's attentions, one which David almost always lost. He listened to Arelore's question and Meret's reply as Jugtra flew around his head spiritedly.

Bowing his head out of respect for Meret, David turned and left the room, turning left and waiting outside for Arelore. He tapped his foot and folded his arms, one of which had been patched up and was now bandaged. He still could not move it.

I'll be taking a break till Rachel posts or someone else joins Diamond, as Alia is kinda in slow-motion as I don't want to get ahead of one of our GCs. :)
