Is anyone watching this? I just saw the Four Yorkshiremen sketch, one of my favourite sketches ever.

List your favourites!

The best has been and forever will be: 'Who's on first?' by Abbot and Costello. Other good ones include the Monty Phyon 'Dead Parrot' and anything starring Groucho Marx. But those are just my opinions. Your results may vary.

Monty Python as would be on top with things like Spam (can't beat Spam vikings, not even ninjas), The 'Wafer thin mint' one, etc , and the early episodes of All that! and the Amanda show were good though I couldn't name anything.

How "sketch" does it need to be?

Could you include a Charlie Chaplin bit even if its in the larger context of a movie? Ditto on Buster Keaton, Three Stooges and the above mention Marx Bros.

Don't make me look this up on youtube by myself. If I don't have a link here by tomorrow, there will be hell to pay.

I am absolutely positive people will yell at me for being tasteless...

But I watch SNL every Saturday night, and rarely, rarely laugh.

But then I saw this skit.

And I laughed.

Oh, how I embarrass myself.

What would the top SNL skits be?

Steve Martin Wild and Crazy Guy would have to be up there. I'd imagine that, whether it deserves it or not, the cowbell sketch would make it on. Some smurf would probably also put the lazy sunday on the list. Now I'm getting frustrated about how un-funny they've become recently. Plus Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch are leaving. I've gone into SNL-depression, I hope you're happy.

If anyone remembers the Hypno-Pants sketches from All That, that was insanely funny. :roflol: the evil villain with hypnotic pants

That show was actually a bit outdated, considering it was made 1 or 2 years ago. But I really don't agree with the number 1 choice, the Little Britain sketch (which can be found here.)

I personally think that Papa Lazarou should have been much further up.

Tina Fey is leaving SNL??!? She's like one of the only funny people on there! :( SNL is dead now. D:

But to stay on topic, some of the Little Big Stewart sketches were really funny.

I agree with your disagreeance

Anyway, I think it would be very hard to chose, since American comedy sketches are very differnt to British comedy sketches (look at Monty Python vs. SNL)

OK, the Monty Python Dead Parrot sketch is nowhere near the best Monty Python sktech, let alone compared to all the other great comedy sketches out there. Four Yorkshiremen is way better, for example, as are many many others.

'And we'd go to bed at 11 o clock, waking up at half past 10, half an hour before we went to sleep, then work in the mines for 29 hours a day. Then, when we'd get home, our father would kill us, in cold blood I might add, then dance on our graves singing hallelujah. But when you tell young people today, they don't believe you.'

I love The Four Yorkshiremen.
