I initially got Firefox because my computer (which I shared at the time) was being flooded with spyware that affected IE. Soon after, I enjoyed the tabbed browsing aspect of it. It doesn't seem like anything special now, considering I don't use many extensions. However, when going back to IE, I find that there are so many little habits I have that I suddenly can't browse without, Like typing "wp (article)" to go to Wikipedia, or middle-clicking for a new tab.

That's why I'm a proud Firefox junkie! :D

I've noticed a lot of people preferring FF because of the tabbed browsing. Am I the only one who prefers the buttons at the bottomof the screen over tabbing (that's to say, I also don't open a million different windows either).

Nope, I hate the tabbed browsing! >.<

However, I still like FF best, if only because of the Stumble addy.

I'm so used to IE I proabably will never change. It's on my computer, I don't have to get updates every ten minutes and it's got all the shortcuts that I know and love.

I do use others for testing, but I just can't be bothered using anything else on a more permenant basis.

Definatly Firefox. Not only for the virus protection, but for the fact that it has a billion extensions to suit everyone's needs. FireFTP, Adblock, just to list a few. It is very customizable. Tabbed Browsing is just so convieniant, it's not even funny. Firefox wasn't rated the #1 Product in PC World's 2005's top 100 programs, followed by Gmail. :)

The browser that follows firefox is Opera, following not so close behind ant number 40something.

Ah yes Opera aka the browser that will be availble in Europe for the Nintendo DS come 6th October 2006. I haven't tried Opera yet but I've only get to wait 2 months to try it.

The only annoying things IMO about Firefox is having to import your favorites, and your home page.

But still I prefer using Internet Explorer at the moment.

Opera kicks smurf.

The only reason why it's less popular [in the ratings] is because more people go from IE to FF due to security features, and FF generally is much smoother than IE, has better features, and better security, even if it might be slower at somethings than IE.

Still, opera is fastest, and was the first to use tabbed browsing.

Oh, and you need to pay to get support :(
But I don't need it; I'm not sure anyong does :P

So it's a constant opera VS FF for top browser, and due to the errors that FF 2.0 brings [don't tell me you've never come to a page, and it tells you to reload because it took too long to respond] opera 9.01 is in the lead.

This could all change though ;P

Um... that "problem" (though it's hardly a problem) can happen on any browser.

Hasn't happened yet on opera, though I get it all the time on FF.

Eh, it's going to get fixed soon though...

Same here, I find tabs annoying, actually, the only reason I use firefox is because it doesn't make that dumb clicking noise everytime I do something in IE, oh and adblock ^-^

Firefox, by a landslide. It's just so much more pleasant than IE. As for Opera, I think I'd like it better with a different interface. It could possibly be my favorite then.
