Funny, I was talking to Marissa about that last night: "What was the board called again? No...before NNV..."

Even I barely remember, and I used to mod that board! :P

Shame on you! I even remember when there wasn't even a WG&C board :P

Oldbies tend to be quite fickle...I remain loyal to what I grew up with. :)

Quiz time! Yoshi, what's your title?

I remember when there wasn't an 'Everything You Need To Know About The PPT Forums', even when there wasn't anything like that on the old forum.

I feel so old- I remember when the vast majority of the mods here weren't mods, or even members. I actually remember greeting a bunch of people who you could now call oldbies when they first joined the forum. Hehe, I remember when YOU were a new member, Rune. :D

omg, does this mean I'm old?! (yes. On January 29th, 2007, I'll have been on PPT 4 years- and that's nothing compared to some other people who, frankly, scare me with how long they've been PPTers)

And now there're going to be new mods to force into pie-making slavery! Er. I mean. To huggle and cuddle and give stuffed animals and um face paint with? :battar:

It'll still always be NNV to me. Coconuts will never compare to Greasy Fatty Word Games.

Of course, on the other hand, now we sing the song...

And a one
And a two
And a one, two, three, four...

<i>"Down at an English fair
One evening I was there
When I heard a showman shouting underneath the flare

'I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts...""</i>

My friends call me a Coconut because I'm mexican and I act white, so who knows XD

But now I feel accepted XD

Word Games and Contests.

Young people have impressionable minds, so I'm going to tell you the real terms for everything around here! Let's take a tour. Here we are at SDIS, which stands for Site Discussion, Ideas, and Suggestions. The "and" was omitted in the actual forum title. And over on your left, you'll see the supermod, Yoshi. Supermod is short for "super moderator". And that's all I can think of right now, so here we are at our final destination, Cookie Land! Go. Enjoy yourself. :D

and then you have Tyma who is really a minja which is a cross between a midget and a ninja :)

So, does that forum now have Nutrional Value? Or is there still none?

This name change has confused me so. Dang thee coconut!

5'3", actually. Close though. *does cool ninja stuff with cool ninja weapons*

If you look out the window on the right, you'll see SL, whose name can be found in many common phrases such as "OMSL". He was created with the combined DNA of a monkey, a golden statue of a chicken, and Yoda. Nobody knows who came up with that seemingly random combination, but I'd just had ten pounds of chocolate, okay?!? I mean, uh...s/he must've been an interesting person...

That depends. How much nutritional value does a coconut have?

It's fake coconut, made of lard, chalk dust and turpentine. So don't try to eat the board. The nutritional value may now be through the roof but it'll kill you. :D

Pfft. Word Games and Contests forever!!!

Do sparrows have an affect on the coconut's nutritional value, then?

Yay! Finally! Someone else who the Stand-In Era hasn't corrupted! :D

(In case you can't tell, I'm vehemently defending the antiquated appellations containing nostalgic elements.) (And I'm also using thesaurus.com.)

No, but whether the coconut is in a temperate climate zone would have an effect, I'm sure.

It's also likely that how nutrional the coconut is would have effect on the nutrional value of the coconut. Just a thought, I could be wrong.

It will always be Word Games and Contests to me whatever the name it is called.

I am surprised that there wasn't a vote open to all members on what NNV should be called before it was changed. Remember there was a enough people who hated the red beanbag because it looked like a red bum that it end up getting replaced by Arrow the chicken.

The Deserted Isle sounds better and there is nothing remotely dirty about the name The Deserted Isle.

"What, ridden on a horse?"
"Yes"
"You're using coconuts"
"What?"
"You've got two empty halves of coconuts and you're banging them together"

"Where'd you get the coconuts?"
"We found them"
"Found them? In Mercia? The coconut's tropical!"
"What do you mean?"
"Well this is a temperate zone"
"The swallow may fly south with the sun. Or the housemartin or the plumber may seek warmer clime's in winter. Yet these are not strangers to our land!"
"Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?!?"
