What's the first thing you remeber about PPT?

I remember going to No Nutritional Value and seeing a thread for WW, and at the time I thought it had something to do with Wrestling. xD I never clicked on it until I played a game on IDB. xD

I also remember clicking on set contests and looking at pretty, pretty graphics that people have made that inspired me to make graphics too. My first few were pretty bad. xD Though I don't have them anymore as the server I saved it on crashed indefinitely, but it would have been fun to look back.

I remember a few people who I idolized in graphics back then, many of them don't go to PPT anymore. Optimus, Jaye, Ken (Who was Neopet Something back then ) Tomatie, Silja, vkceankraz and Kitten Medli. :3 Come to mind at the moment.

Jas was the first person from PPT that I ever spoke to. I'd added her on MSN the same day she gave out stuff to people, and I think she was suspicious that I just wanted stuff from her

I remember something about lobsters and statues and worshipping... (of course I may be thinking of another forum where lobster/statue/lobster statue worshipping did exist) I also remembered clinging for dear life to the Newbie thread as if I couldn't bear to immerse myself in the terrifying community of PPT [which isn't that terrifying after all]

[This was before PPT remodeled/did something that caused my account to spontaneously dissapearify (yes I had to add the ify and make it not a word)]

Recent PPT, first memory-

Hero worshipping Twizz because her name was EVERYWHERE and err...doing some RPG...hopping into my first WW game where I rooted on the evil team because I got annoyed at the innocents...yeah...

Now that I have handed out cookies, it's back to the thread I go. I remember when I first joined thinking the people here were much older than they actually were. Mainly because of the way that they expressed themselves. No one sounded like they were in their teens and, back then, many of the PPTers were. And some even younger than that. So, my being the wise old age that I am, it was refreshing to see that there were young people in this world who were very thoughtful, insightful, and kind. Especially, when compared to the party boards and inane junk I saw on the Neo chat boards. Many of you threw my stereotypes of the "younger generation" right out the window.

I remember being completely perplexed as to why a message board would have a mafia and a crowd of outkasts. I was kind of naïve in the ways of the internet, wasn't I?

The first person from PPT that I ever really talked to was Sock. She just randomly IMed me and we started talking about vegetarianism and stuff. It was cool. Socky's the best.

After a few months at PPT I discovered that Pudding was actually the owner of a guild I used to be quite active in. It was rather shocking to discover that. Pudding, I think it's safe to say that you're the person with the most coincidental connections to PPTers.

Yeah, I was a horrible guild owner. I occasionally gave stuff away, but I mostly talked about ponies and kangaroos with you on the message board. I think we bewildered everyone who mistakenly wandered in thinking that there were normal people in the Elite Wocky Guild.

Seriously, this board must be entirely made up of people who are all my old guild members, people who went to elementary school with me, my third cousins, and kids I hung out with in preschool, or something. It's the only way to explain all of the coincidences, unless you're all crazy and think that they're coincidences.

I have a few theories about that young Pudding lass...
A) Pudding has 36-hour days, so she has more time to do stuff than anyone else, and therefore meets quite a lot of people.
B) There are only 1000 people in the world, and Pudding is the center person who connects us all.
C) She's just cooler than everyone else, and when the universe tries to act normal around her, it starts blushing and gets embarrassed and creating situations which are normally impossible.

Now I don't even have that Kau OR the art. XD I think Chris made me this two minute paint doodle. It was still cute.

Ah yes, PPT before it went poof for a couple of months. Back in, hhhhmmm, let me do the math, February of 2004???? Imagine life without PPT and you have no idea when, or if, it will ever come back. Sigh. No contact with the only sane people who know TNT that promise not to talk in leet, chat or about being pregnant at age 10, locked in the closet when the burglars come into their house, or having their house blown away by a tornado (yet, interestingly enough the cable line to their computer was never disconnected). Yep, stuff we had to endure on the chat boards until PPT got back on line. And I had just made Mafia when it happened. Though I am quite happy that those labels are gone.

One of my earliest memories was engaging in a flame war with some guy that had a thing against Venom. I didn't know about the word filter and he called me a "smurfking".

In marching band, we wore blue uniforms with white hats so it wasn't uncommon for us to be called "smurfs". One band driving by on their bus lowers their windows and shouted the theme at us. So I personally took great pride in being a smurf and shouting back "That's Smurf Queen to you!" After I became a mod, it was my first custom title.


Oh....and protesting the PPT Police...the public report board in particular.

I remember someone telling me that Wind was a great name when I had just joined And the fact that to be a PPT user I felt obliged to read every single post made on the board. Then I somehow got imprisoned into NNV and only posted there for the longest time ever. Then PPT went kaboom. My memory isn't that good.

The first thing I remember is the "Newbie" scare CCC use to do.

I hung out in the Sig and Av creation area a lot looking at graphics's and what not, I remember Moogie made my very first avatar that i requested off of anyone here. And how I just LOVED everyone's talent at making graphics and how I wanted to collect something from everyone (and still do lol).

Also remember creating a Sig contest once Sigs kinda became popular, and I believe that spearheaded the every popular Set contests held now.

I remember God Wars in the Gods thread, and the rise and fall of ASP lol

Then PPT went down, I came back after it came back and I ended up joining Pink Ink (blatant use of a plug for PI I know lol)

and somewhere in the middle of that I fell in love with WW and joined Randomness forums (nother Blatant use of a plug) haha

Then I kinda fell off the face of the earth, but I'm better now...the voices in my head told me so...
