*lol* Yep, I am just a walking encyclopedia. Hahaha. Actually, curiousity killed the cat so I had to check the news to see just what the heck had caused her demise. Well, like Neil Young said, better to burn out, then to fade away. Though I don't necessarily agree with him. Fading away does have its advantages.

She was a model who married a 67-year-old billionaire in the mid-90's. He died a year or so later, and a court battle sprang up over who should get his inheritance: her or his son. She also was on a rather popular TV show.

she was a playboy bunny, hardly want to call that a model.

rather popular tv show? what was that?
she was that woman who lost some weight with hoodia or something like that, and she appeared seemingly intoxicated at some award show at some point. obviously not too memorable

Anna Nicole Smith show on E!, and it was Trimspa, and to some she IS memorable, so please don't insult her, even though I don't think you tried to sound rude, it did.

I'm nearly as shocked as Igg is. Ten bucks says it was drugs.

It is sad when someone dies, whether they be a hero or a porn star. Do not be disrespectful to their memory just because you don't happen to like their memory, because regardless, they're still human beings. Not your lessers.
I'm very sad to hear that.

Ah, there's always people who are more memorable to some than to others. Those of us who live in the US and watch popular news or entertainment shows probably remember her better than others. She has been in the media spotlight quite a bit lately.

It's only been a few hours and the fight over the custody of her 4-month-old daughter has already started:
The lawyer for the man claiming to have fathered Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter vowed to file an emergency court order Friday to have the late ex-Playmate's DNA tested before her body is released to her family.
Lawyer Debra Opri told FOX News hours after Smith's death Thursday that she'd step up the paternity fight of her client, paparazzi photographer and onetime Smith boyfriend Larry Birkhead, who claims to be the father of 4-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall.

She always struck me as a pitiable person. At least now people will stop making fun of her for awhile.

I always thought of her as lonely. I don't know why. Just that she seemed to have it all, yet there was this look in her eyes. Like the smile was pasted on just so no one would know. It is sad that the media thought it OK to beat on her as much as they did. Don Henley's song plays in my head "Dirty Laundry." Let me tell you, if I ever had a son die and had all those jerks with microphones stuck in my face, while I was grieving, I wouldn't have a problem telling them just where they could stick those mics and then slamming the door right in their faces--hopefully getting a few bruised noses in the process.
