Ha, I don't fear the aliens. I fear our own government. I read all the time about new military weapons. These so called non lethal and crowd control weapons could do some damage if in the wrong hands. There is this sound beam which they can shoot at people and immobilize them with sound. There is a beam which causes instant vomitting, I don't even know how that works, but it does. A person wouldn't even be able to think straight they'd be too busy throwing up. There is another one which can blind you with light or something and one that makes you feel like your skin is on fire.
If this fell into the wrong hands then you'd be blinded, throwing up, on fire, and basically just laying on the ground quite helpless. It is very scary what they could do to you before they actually layed a finger on you. They say they are not lethal, but I wonder how they test the limits of this. I mean, what if they hit you with enough force to where you wish you were dead, but you still live? That is torture. I know the point is just to immoblize people, but what if they decided to have a bit of fun with this? Then if anyone complained they'd just be like "Nonsense, we've tested this device countless times. It causes some discomfort but no lasting damage." But how do they decide that. What one person may decide is discomfort another may think is torture. Or more likely they could just lie and say it doesn't hurt when it does.

One time on the way home from a club (we hadn't been drinking before anyone asks) I saw a big circle of lights in the sky, and it was spinning, but at the same time each light was spinning as well. There was a really big one and a smaller one a little bit further away. I wanted to go investigate but the others just wanted to go home.

Maybe you took a really big detour to Marfa on your way home.

Anyways, about the original post... It's possible it's an RC plane, and if the interstate is close enough to homes or even large open areas, it's entirely possible. I have seen a blimp that is covered in a reflective foil and it goes pretty fast.

LOL as it happened in Germany chances of being detoured in Marfa would be pretty damn miraculous.

On a sadder note - I've heard that the Marfa lights are dimming

Oh yeah that was me. I think I still have that picture, but I think we all decided it was a bird.

But yeah, I do believe there could be things out there. But I think at the moment we have more to fear from the government than UFO's. I mean, if they are so advanced they could have destroyed the world years ago.

But there is enough iron and other ores just floating around as asteroids. There is enough that every man, woman, and child could have a billion dollars worth of ore..if they could get it, that is.

So aliens would surely mine our asteroids and stuff first before messing with us anyway. And at the moment there is plenty of stuff out there for them, so I don't think they need to mess with our world any time soon.

And if they are so advanced they don't even need human slaves, because they can just clone some of their own selves for slaves or perhaps make robots or anything else they need.

Really, they don't NEED us for anything. They probably just enjoy messing with us, like we enjoy stirring up an ant hill if we happen to pass one.

Well, we don't NEED solid gold wristwatches/American Idol/the latest news on what Anna Nicole Smith's evil twin sister-in-law was doing the night she died, but we WANT it.
You never know what they might want from our planet. Humans could easily be considered some sort of delicacy by aliens. Or maybe they're seeking body lotion made from mint juleps. Or maybe Starbucks could turn out to be literally the best coffee in the universe! And then they'd pay using the official currency of Polaris or Merope...you know, Star-bucks. Okay, that was horrible. I apologize.
